I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was amaizing. The service so fast ....like the fastest service I have ever had in a hotel. Like you call and minutes later they are there or your issue is resolved.
The rooms were beautiful and amaizing view. The hotel is located right across the beach which is great. They also offer free beach service. You get chairs and umbrellas for free and you can also order drinks and food at the beach. They have a small but nice pool if you don't want to go to the beach.
Now food was outstanding. If I could give it 20/10 I would. Their breakfast was amazing. So many options and quite the spread. I had the best omelettes for breakfast every day made by the amazing ladies at the dining room. We ordered room service one night and the food that came was delicious and arrived on time and hot. All the staff at the dining and kitchen and lovely and helpful.
The hotel is a little ways from the old town and downtown but there is uber and taxis readily available and you can get to the downtown area for like $10 or less. It is close to beach front restaurant, supermarket and stores nearby.
Everything about our stay here was 5 start. We enjoyed our stay and this was the best hotel we stayed in Barazil.
They are also a very child friendly hotel. They love kids and their genuine kindness and concern shows at all times with all the staff. They have a kids play area downtown which came in handy for our little one.

Our 4th floor room had a beautiful, ocean view. In fact, my favorite part of this hotel was the location, right off the beach with instant access to the bus lines right off Rua Paciencia (Patience Street). A short walk takes you to the town plaza for food options, or to Patience Beach, which is well worth it. The room was simple and clean, and what a bargain !

Salvador is fascinating and interesting for all the reasons you probably already know. There is much to do and see.
The only downsides are the high humidity and heat which makes day time explorations a bit taxing and safety issues. I found the main tourist locations to be well policed and safe, but if you stray from these you must be very careful. Ideally be in the company of local Brazilians who can help navigate the city safely.
I loved Casa da Mae in Rio Vermelho, great atmosphere, awesome music, nice food and safe.
I found the local people more reserved and more challenging to connect with than in Sao Paulo. I sense this is due to the 'tourist' nature of the city.

Carnival in Salvador, Bahia is a must!
Carnival in Salvador, Bahia is a must! You'll have to experience it for yourself. My favorite town was Rio Verlehmo, Ubers are affordable, and motorbikes, are the way to go. I enjoyed walking, you get to experience more of their stores, restaurants.

Salvador is an incredible place.
Salvador is an incredible place. Lots of history, culture and friendly people. Would definitely recommend as a destination. Just be sure to have some basic Brazilian Portuguese phrases handy, as English is not widely spoken at all.

We were warned by everyone, including hotel staff and friends, that Salvador is a dangerous place. This made it difficult for us to enjoy the city's beauty without any concerns. However, we decided to take a City Tour with a group to learn more about the city and identify the places we wanted to visit again. The city tour gave us a better understanding of the city, which helped us appreciate it more. Go to Pelourinho, Igreja do Bonfim and Farol da Barra.

We had an idea that this place was beautiful, but it exceeded our expectations. Every street made beuatiful pictures, there was a lot of history, music and dancing. At first, the hsitorical area felt very touristy but there are ways to get a more authentic experience. We will recommend to all of our friends traveling in Brazil to make a stop in Salvador.
The breakfast was the best thing about this hotel. Tasteful, local, diverse and changes everyday, we loved it.
The location in Rio Vermelho is great with many restaurants and bar nearby. Also safe to walk at night so that was a big PRO. The hotel, although nice, was not exactly as the pictures showed but we still enjoyed spending time there very much.
Also the staff of ''Prive Turismo'' Rose, was very friendly and helped us chose interesting tours to do while in Salvador.
The room was simply decorated, but again very cosy with the black and white accents and the plant there.
The size of the room was also perfect.
Unfortunately, it rained a lot during our stay in Salvador, but that did not stop us from exploring.
And yes, sometimes watching movies from our comfortable bed.
The hotel staff and owner were very friendly. Ismael in particular could speak excellent English. And we are curious about the result of his test ;-)
The best things about this hotel are the location (very close to Farol da Barra which is a nice area with many bars/restaurants along the beach), and the staff who were very pleasant and helpful. We also got a room with ocean view which was a bit more expensive, but definitely worth it. The hotel is right across the street from the beach, so the view was great (though you will hear the ocean quite loudly, which may be a pro or con, that depends on you!)
Very friendly staff. Wonderful, generous breakfast on a beautiful patio/ common area with lots of delicious options, and staff is very accommodating to dietary needs. Fantastic AC and the rooms seemed very soundproof, which is always appreciated. Smart TV and fridge/ freezer are a plus. The pousada feels very secure and has a great location with access to local bodegas and a 10-minute walk to one of the nicer beaches in Salvador (Praia da Barra)
The owner Natalia was very accommodating. She made sure our stay was comfortable and offered great communication. When she was not present her staff members Sandra and Marcel were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were some of the best we stayed in Salvador after a 3 week stay. The location is very good, right by all the attractions of Salvador. The beaches are not far away at all (Uber).
There's absolute no reason for the lower score of this place. Location is one of the best in town and the price is also extremely competitive. The room was dated and some of the furniture needs renovation, but everything was clean, air conditioning was working fine and the shower had good hot water. Swimming pool and facilities were great and I can only recommend this hotel.
Location is perfect. Excellent stuff especially Jorge ( reception) & Cezar ( bar service), always smiling & friendly, you feel people love their job ( Cezar singing and dancing preparing you the drinks).
Don't hesitate to take the tour in the hotel, it gives you excellent visibility what's Salvador and where you would like to come back or spend the evening...
I made a road trip through Brasil, staying at several hotels/hostels. Arriving at Bahiacafé Hotel tired, thirsty, hungry and late, I was pleasantly surprised to find a minibar with a great selection of snacks and drinks - the best I had seen. They even had a spa. Breakfast was great and staff was very kind and professional
We had such a great time! The hosts were extremely kind, helpful and flexible! The breakfast was great and the rooms very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in Pelourinho. Really a gem in Salvador!
Would highly recommend this place to everyone and hope to be back soon! Thank you so much!
Good value for money, decent enough facilities. Comfortable mattresses. Property in general seems a little bit dated and has aging facilities. Seems like a party hotel mainly to be used during Salvador Carnival, but I don't necessarily recommend it as a family destination during any season.
An oasis of peace in the great metropolis of Salvador da Bahia. Best location, just 15 minutes from the airport and close to the beautiful beach Stella Maris. The service is top, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and typically Brazilian. The bed was super comfortable.
Petunia and her family showed us what Brazilian hospitality is at its very best with grace, kindness and incredible generosity. The breakfast is exceptional and is a Brazilian culinary tour on its own! Can't wait to get back!
Great value for money considering destination. Safe and clean once you are inside the hotel. Obviously cheap and not greatest part of Brazil but great for I pay for. Lovely, fresh breakfast not to be forgotten
The hotel is beautiful, breakfast is great and the staff very helpful and welcoming. We had a great stay. There are lots of restaurants and bars in this area, easy to find a good place to have dinner.
Wish hotel is a traditional hotel with great architecture and great upkeeping. The pool is lovely and the rooms are spacious. The staff is very attentive and we felt cherished the whole stay.
Nice small hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. It’s an old building with a lot of charm in a living part of Salvador.
