The location is amazing, just in the middle of a relaxed central street. The breakfast is really nice.
And I like 2 interesting solutions in the room:
1) There is a long window desk provided with a char a padded bench at the wall.
2) A light strip under the bathroom door was on 24 hours, which I found friendly during the day and convenient at night.

Known as the "Jewel Box", Dresden is a stunning German city with rich history, an important classical music scene, and an unforgettable Baroque and Rococo-inspired city center.
Located on the banks of the Elbe River, the whole city was destroyed during World War II, but has now been rebuilt into one of the most interesting places in Europe. Like a phoenix from the ashes, the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) is an imposing building that is one of the most beloved symbols of the city.
Magnificent Zwinger Palace is the main Dresden attraction, featuring impressive pavilions and a majestic garden in the middle. Continue your journey along the cultural centre of Germany and visit the picturesque Baroque square of Neumarkt. Also not to be missed is Brühl Terrace, a promenade nicknamed the "Balcony of Europe", for its excellent view of the River Elbe.
Enjoy a relaxing stroll around the city and you will find a selection of cozy Dresden restaurants and beer gardens serving local dishes and fine wines from the surrounding vineyards.

The town center was destroyed in WWII sat in ruins while under Soviet control. Has been completely rebuilt with no ruins remaining. Amazing! Walking through an old city that’s brand new. Apparently not on most American travel lists as English was rare, bring your Google Translate app.
Lovely architecture; beautiful natural setting; great museums and music venues. Great food. Excellent public tram system as well as scooters to rent. I will avoid hostels and spend more money to stay in a hotel. I enjoyed the Hygiene and City museums. I'll be back for sure!

Very beautiful city.
Very beautiful city. The historic center is very impressive considering that it was almost entirely rebuilt after 1945. I highly recommend the Old Masters Gallery in Zwinger. This is an unforgettable experience!

Everything!
Everything! Easily my favourite city to visit in Germany so far for its sheer beauty. Amazingly I got last minute tickets to the Semperoper (the opera) to watch “The Magic Flute”.
The architecture, the food, the people are what make Dresden the special place it is.
The Hop on Hop off bus tours are great as they take you to the suburbs in the hills that you would otherwise not get a chance to see. Great views and a good cafe in one suburb to have a coffee.

I went for trains and there is a lot for train fans.
I went for trains and there is a lot for train fans. Two narrow gauge steam trains, only 15 minutes by train away from the main station: Weißeritztalbahn and Lößnitzgrundbahn. The Transport museum (Verkehrshaus) next to the Frauenkirche is also worth a visit. Take the 1.5 hour train east to Zittau and you get to another great and famous narrow gauge steam train line. And you are only scratching the surface here. If you are in the UK, take the Eurostar to London, then continue with the Eurosleeper in a direct train to Dresden. You can even easily make a day trip to Prague!

Dresden city itself is also interesting but I alredy been there so this time I went to hiking to Saxon Switzerland National park. Next day I went to Meissen, everything was easy approachable with S bahn. I recommend to visit this Nathional park and maybe you can extend to Czech Republic.
This is so far the best hotel we have stayed in Dresden. Nice to treat yourself for a special event. If you’re lucky or have some extra budget - get the room with the view of Frauenkirche and the square. It is good spot to just seat and do some people-watching. For cold and rainy days there is sauna on the upper floor… as well as fancy Moritz restaurant. Perfect location for Old Town sightseeing or Opera visit. Very comfortable beds and pillows… and pleasant quiet so you can relax.
One of my favorite hotels in Dresden. The best pillows and a nice breakfast with a lovely view. However, this time the pillow was changed to a classical hotel version - thick pillow that puts your head in an almost vertical position. Additionally, the breakfast on Friday was confusing; it seemed like the fried potatoes from yesterday's breakfast were just reheated and served again. Everyone knows the taste of yesterday's fried potatoes - like shoe soles.
The hotel was really nice and clean, friendly stuff and great breakfast where you have unlimeted access to food.
The hotel also has its own restaurant unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to try it out.
Property has a great view to Dresden countryside, very close to the river Elbe. It's quiet and calm place for a comfortable stay.
My subjective opinion is this place is more than a 3 star hotel.
Stayed here in February for the bobsleigh World Cup in Altenberg.
A really easy 30/40 minutes from the airport: Train to Dresden Mitte, and tram 1, 2, or bus 68 to Postplatz.
Room rates, rooms, and staff are all fantastic. Location also brilliant: Two minutes to old town, public transport, bars, restaurants, convenience store, pharmacy, and...The Hoff!.
Nice hotel, clean, organized, friendly staff and excellent service. Walking distance to the main Dresden touristic buildings and good restaurants for a fair price. Plenty of public parking and garage if you prefer for 22 euros a day. I didn’t take the breakfast there but I checked it out and they had plenty of good options.
We were very happy for such a spacious room! Hotel has a modern design, free minibar, situated in the heart of the old town. For our nect Dresden trip we will definitely come back. Sitting for breafast provided also outside. Breakfast was very good, everyone can find his preferable. 😊
Modern, clean hotel. Good price relative to the service provided. 10-15mins walk from the old town and less to Dresden Mitte Station. Supermarket nearby.
Good breakfast and additional hot items available on request. Shower thoughtfully designed. Staff friendly and helpful.
The location and staff were fantastic! They took very good care of us and were really friendly. The room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was also superb. Dresden is a beautiful city and this hotel is right in the center!
The hotel is in a great location,in front of it there are differents trams which head to the old town. The room was really big,the breakfast delicious with a very large choice of food. I can only recommend to stay in this hotel if you are visiting Dresden.
The hotel location could not be better for seeing old Dresden. Our room was large, luxurious and in good taste with beautiful wood and materials. The staff was professional, helpful and a delight to deal with. We couldn’t have asked for more.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel is very close to Dresden Bahnhof Mitte, which is a useful hub for public transport. The walking distance to the old town centre is about 10 minutes. The breakfast buffet was not fancy, but fine.
Convenient location (close to Dresden attractions, lots of stores and restaurants nearby), clean and spacious room, discounted parking right at the hotel, easy check in/out process.
It is a beautiful hotel, with a very modern decoration contrasting with the old town (Altstadt Dresden). The room is comfortable, cozy and warm. Perfect place to enjoy the city.
Easy access to all the places we wanted to walk or take the bus to. Secure parking and a nice breakfast included. This is the hotel we normally stay at when visiting Dresden.
The staff at reception were very welcoming and very helpful with great advice for seeing the best of Dresden - best hotel staff we have experienced in Germany
