My little villa was perfect for my intention to just relax. The amenities like the spa and bikes for rent added great value. The included breakfast is very filling. The beach is very quiet and beautiful. Airport shuttle is also included but not available after 1730.

Wonderful island with tons of things to discover.
Mostly Japanese tourists. We went off season, so not crowded at all. Most things are in Japanese only and people only speak minimal English. We used Google translate a lot.

This has been the best island that we have visited to date very clean great beaches and plenty to see
Traveling around was easy as roads are good, Sat Nav in rental car was a bit hit and miss
There different colors of the sea are a must to see and take pictures
We were very lucky had a BBQ at a popular beach and it happened to be a very good place to see a sunset that evening

The center city is not very lively or pretty.
The center city is not very lively or pretty. The island is rather rural with lots of banana, tobacco, and sugar cane plots. However, the suburb areas near the beaches are beautiful. I would recommend a resort as the available activities are limited to outdoors and dining. A car is required to get around. Unsure if there is any nightlife in the area.

Wonderful and beautiful place, the color of the sea amazing, many interesting sites to visit BUT you NEED a car (to rent a car). The public transportation is almost non existent (there is a bus to the airport). The island is too big for the bicycle, and too hilly.

During Golden Week, you must book an Izakaya for dinner ahead of time. If you try to walk into a restaurant, they will be fully booked or not let you in. Some of the locals seemed to discriminate against foreigners but not other Japanese tourists.

It’s a magical island and I didn’t see as much as I wanted due to a 4 day typhoon where we needed to stay inside…typhoons are common but not this long! But the accommodation was very flexible and offered extra nights at reduced cost
I’ll be back to complete my sightseeing outside of typhoon season!
Fantastic location on what is possibly the best beach on the island.
Beautiful and huge gardens to the front and especially the rear of the hotel. Good hotel shops.
The Coral wing superior twin was quite large and clean and everything worked fine. It had a wonderful view of the turquoise sea!!
The bar/cafe food and drinks were expensive but the ambience was brilliant!! So enjoyable.
It’s a huge hotel, so quite relaxing to walk around.
Staff mostly friendly, if not so well trained.
The quietness of the area (apart from the club called "Funky Flamingo", which I personally did not like).
The ability to use the facilities from the hotel in front called "Santa Monica" with a very nice pool and sauna with windows facing the sea. And in general the fact that Sea Breeze Hotel is part of the Shigira Resorts Hotels, so it was possible to dine out or use other hotel facilities and still having them connected to my hotel - in terms of payments.
Excellent value, perfect location right in town with all buses (including both airports) passing in front of the hotel, friendly staff, opportunity to meet other travelers, equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook, comfortable beds, pleasant temperature, comfortable bathrooms and showers that are always available, cheap clothes washing/drying machines.
The room was huge yet old.
The dinner was outstanding, fresh catch of the day advertised and always making a superb choice.
The hotel has the rustic and not unpleasant charme of an old style bed&breakfast pension or dormitory charme, with rusty stairs to rusty old fashioned large bedrooms with rusty old keys.
One of few affordable stays that gives you ocean views. You need a car if you stay here but if you have one it has easy access to most places you’d like to get to. Balcony is a big plus. Kitchen and the utensils are basic but satisfactory. You have access to the facilities at the main Shigira resort.
The villa is quite far away from each other so a lot of privacy and quietness. Overall vibe of the villa was resort like and perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Can park the car next to the villa so very convenient.
Mini kitchen with cooking ustensiles, perfect for a simple meal.
2 big tv’s.
The hotel is located in a fairly quiet but accessible area, and is instantly recognizable by how it is painted. Rooms are on the upper floor, the lower floor serves as a café/restaurant. A good sized breakfast is served to travelers staying here at a discount. Bed was comfortable.
Beautiful hotel with great facilities. Immaculately clean. Free, easy shuttle bus from airport. Great buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. 3 outdoor pools and private beach. Friendly, helpful team who were more than happy to help us organise day trips via taxis.
Incredibly clean. Good location with blue seal shop, a beach within walking distance, couple of shops and restaurants. Parking spots for a rented car. Great value as a base to explore Miyako island. The staff kindly stored our luggage after check-out.
Location was great to get around , the service from the Manager Tomoya was amazing. Booked all our restaurant visits for us and gave us gerneral tips for getting around the island and what's good - really made the trip for us
The owner and staff (and the guests during my stay) were super kind and open. Even if your japanese isn't that good, they try to welcome you and make you feel nice during your stay.
There is also a really cute black cat.
This was one of the best vacations I ever had. The hotel staff go above and beyond to make your comfortable and make all arrangements for transportation, activities, reservations, etc. I will definitely come again.
Great view and really nice restaurant that saved our lives, because there is nowhere to eat on entire island. Restaurant stuff was wonderful too! They remembered what we liked and followed every day🫶
Great hotel, amazing staff. The breakfast is a delicious grab and go. The hotel has tons of extras to make you comfortable. We stayed 2 weeks and were very happy!
