The overall quality of the hotel and the room is fine. I especially like the design. The food is also fine and delicious. The hot tub is life-saving at the end of the day.

Wellness Hotel Chopok has some of the best spas/pools in Slovakia, very spacious yet intimate at the same time!

The staff exceeded all our expectations, they were always there if we needed any help and were very kind and wonderful. The dinner and the breakfast were exceptional, it was delightful and delicious. Our room was beautiful with the sights of the Tatras. The place itself is something magical, we were above the clouds it's really worth the price.

beautiful, amazing views, nice lifts and long trails, but not for the begginers, even blue trails have spots were they are too difficult for the begginers, and you have no way of knowing until you get there.

Demanovska Dolina is a verly long village, so it depends when you are going and what you want to do. If you want to ski all day, I would recommend to find accommodation directly on the slope / under the lift, as otherwise you will have to drive with your car or with a ski bus for 20 - 30 min and you might not even fit in the bus which tends to be full. However, if your aim is not solely skiing, you might want to stay in the village, as the place for walking might be better there than on the slope. The ski area is smaller than in the usual Alpine resorts, but big enough for an intermediate skier. The prices (for the ski-pass, food and drinks) are high for the value you're getting.

Demänovská Dolina is a stunning place that I recently visited. It is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers a multitude of opportunities for hiking and exploration. One of the highlights of my stay was the option to take cable cars that led me to the ridges of the hills. From there, I could embark on beautiful hiking trails with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. It was an amazing experience to venture along these adventurous paths. Demänovská Dolina also provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. During my walks, I enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings and the sense of tranquility that prevailed. If you're looking for a place where you can truly unwind and discover the wonders of nature, Demänovská Dolina is the right choice. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking magnificent hiking trails and unforgettable experiences.

New ski area for mediate level skiers good.
New ski area for mediate level skiers good. Well prepared slopes. Apres ski not great and no supermarket in the area only 12 km drive away. Beautiful nature and great views. Expensive for Slowakia standards (ski passess 65 euro/day, ski rental 40 Euro/day, ski lession 40 euro/per person/per hour). We will be returning with our expectations adjusted.

Skiing was very nice in these beautiful mountains but slopes are very tricky for beginners or mid-level skiers. There is not any services (restaurants, shops, kiosks etc.) outside of hotels so you are forced to have the package with accommodation and foods.

Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes.
Nice area. Decent snowboarding slopes. The ski rental shop (the one right next to Happy End bar at the entry to the ski area) was a bit of a con billing us nearly double the rates they publish online and letting us know that only at the end of the trip - claiming the published rates are only relevant if you book online and not at the shop. I’d avoid them at all costs.
It is a nice, newly renovated hotel which used to be a real high mountain shelter. The room was spacious , beds were comfortable. Breakfast was various and delicious. The main ski station ' Biela put' is about 700 ms away, but the hotel runs a mini bus transfer to take the guests to the pitch. A free cross- country ski arena is also ín the neighbourhood. Hotel staff is kind and helpful. Nice wellness area is also available.
This hotel is specialized mostly for great wellness, two separate wellnesses, both big enough with plenty of opportunities, saunas, outside jacuzzi and iced cave. The fitness centre was great, one of the best hotel fitness centers I have ever been. What is missing is better choice of meal, the kitchen was average for that price, except that accommodation and all the facilities were great. Recommend for the money.
Basically this is magical place.
The host is much friendly.
I spent 6 days with my family over there.
After 2 days we felt like a family.
The host and his wife operate the house and this super friendly and take care for all you need.
There is a bar with small restaurant in the house.
It was great to finish the day with Pizza home made and with a beer.
Highly recommend 👌.
The restaurant served great food and great service. Hotel staff is really helpful as well. They answer all our question and request and accommodate all the request. Kettle and hair dryer, just have to ask from the reception. Breakfast is ok as well. Ski storage room is a highlight to have dry and warm boots in the morning and keep the skis and board clean.
The accomodation was great. The food was delicious and enough. The services were excelent and the staff was kind. The location is great. The parking is OK if you dont have to park paralalel in front of the other cars because it was super icy and you could have hit the other cars. A perfect location for a few day staying and skiing.
Very good place for ski trip, close to slopes and what most important hotel has a ski spirit mood. People gathers in the bar after skiing and you fill that most of them came to get most out of the mountains :). Rooms are rather from the old times but are equipped in all you need. Breakfasts are rather poor, coffee only instant :(
Location and cost where what I was looking for. Due to low cost had low expectations. Ski hire was really good value. Loved the retro decor. Didn't use the shoe-horn in the room but knew it was there if needed. Skiing was great. Will be back to resort. Might spend a little more on hotel though.
Good location for skiing or hiking around the region. Kind ladies at the reception and at the wellness. The hotel has a very good traditional Slovak restaurant. The wellness was better than expected. There are free ski buses that stops just 150 meters away from the hotel.
Amazing everything, looks even better than in the pictures. The ski room is super convenient, as well as the nearby ski slope. Has everything you need, even microwave, dishwasher and so on. Sauna was perfect for the evening! Thanks for all, would definitely come again.
Perfect place, was living in third floor, perfect view, distance to skiing track 50meters. Public showers and toilets are clean and modern new. Since our floor rooms were all occupied never had a problem waiting in line, always empty.
Close to ski lift, it is possible to nearly start riding from hotel and ski back to it afterwards. Nice breakfasts with enough choice of food and a good coffee. Spacious room with well equiped kitchen. Good for even longer stay.
Excellent and helpful host, who's passionate about skiing and ski touring. Very good location near ski slope with separate room for drying skies/snowboards and boots. Comfortable beds with spacious rest rooms and showers.
Hotel have direct access to the ski slope. You just need to go downstairs and you are skiing :-) We are beginners in skiing and the slope Biela Put was exactly for us. But using go pass you can enjoy all the Chopok area.
Breakfast was of wide sellection for such small accommodation, i enjoyed it very much. Our requests on booking and after communication with reception were met 100%. Location was quiet, best choice after busy ski day.
Everything was great: it still had a smell of novelty, staff was friendly, breakfast was also great but SPA area was wonderful :) the hotel looks luxurious except the fact that some repairs are still going on.
Location was very convenient for skiers and family with small kids, having ski room right in the hotel was extremely helpful.
Having a special discount for skipass from the hotel was a great deal.
Very nice apartment. Close to ski-bus stop (however it is useful only when buses work).
Next time near Chopok I will consider this place. Nearby there is a good restaurant.
