The Undiscovered Asian Capital
Capital of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan), huge Taipei is surrounded by mountains. Taipei 101, once the world’s tallest building, dominates its skyline from Xinyi, an area known for the most active nightlife.
At Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall the national flag is raised every morning and the guard changed every hour. Less known for tourists is National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, containing a tall bronze statue of the country’s founding father.
Taipei has tons of museums, but the best are Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines and the National Palace Museum – one of world’s largest collections of Chinese artifacts. Even more numerous are the temples dedicated to Buddhist, Taoist and Chinese folk religions. Xinsheng South Road is nicknamed "Road to Heaven" for its sheer number, but most famous is Longshan Temple in Wanhua, the oldest district.
Taipei shopping is fantastic and includes Core Pacific Living Mall, supposedly Asia’s largest. The Ximending area has lots of shops (and karaoke), while the Shilin Night Market should not be missed. For a break from the bustle head to central Daan Forest Park, the botanical gardens with its lotus ponds,or Yangmingshan National Park, known for hot spring baths and spring cherry blossom.
Whether you fly into Songshan or Taiwan Taoyuan Airport, the well connected public transportation system can take you to any Taipei hotel on Booking.com.

I like many places in Taiwan both natural and meseum. Maokoong gonderla , Beitou Hotpring (should prepare swimming suite), National Palace mesuem- there is a lot of beutiful art to see. I went to Jiefen old street, the view is very attractive. I think the MRT transportation and bus is very convinient and cheap. Stayed 8 nights in Taipei did not travel out due to the earthquake situation. Taipei's Night Markets are over rated. I have been to 6 different Night Market they practically sell the same kind of food and not necessary as tasty as some of the You Tubers would like you to believed. There are better tasting stores than others but nothing really to scream about. But I loved their Pineapple super sweet eat it everyday . It is fairly easy to travel around the city in public transport.. I have been to Yehliu, Houtong, Yangmingshan National Park.,Jiufen ,Shifen Waterfall and Pingxi Sky Lantern. MRT and high-speed railway are very developed in this city. The cost is cheap and you can go to almost every destination. People are friendly and willing to help. City roads and stations are cleaned. Only food, perhaps it's not suitable for someone like the healthy style because a majority of them are oily.
