Our stay at Max was beyond amazing. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our condo was equipped with everything we needed just as if we were at home. Our favorite thing to do was go upstairs to the Beacon lounge to play games and go out to the sunset terrace. The pool was the hangout and we made so many friends. Big shout out to Lisa and Sean. They welcomed us with smiles and set the tone for our vacation. I can't remember the name of the other gentlemen working. I do know he was from Jamaica and had only been with the Max for a short time. He was extremely helpful with us getting upstairs to our room. We had a lot of bags and he assisted us while my husband parked the car. Thanks again for everything you guys did to make our stay 1 for the books!!!

It was Jeep week at Daytona while we were there.
It was Jeep week at Daytona while we were there. We didn't know how loud and busy the beach would be because Jeeps love to drive up and down the beach all day long. Duane, the owner mentioned it but we didn't know how that would affect sitting on the beach.
We needed to be there for our granddaughter who was attending a ballet conference at the convention center so the location for that was great, but if you want a quiet, relaxing beach experience don't come to Daytona when it's Jeep week.

We enjoy Daytona Beach and go 2 or 3 times a year. We love the packed sand on the beach so that we can ride our bikes and take long walks. There are lot of nice beachfront hotels and restaurants on the water which we love!

Daytona has changed a lot since I visit in 2003 for the first time to 2024 last weekend. The sand is disappearing and the water seems to be too close to the retention walls of the properties. I remember having to walk from the stairs to the water, people where lying down in the sand. Now it is dangerous to do it due to cars passing by too close from people for my liking. Still is one of my favorite places. Still is THE BEACH I LOVE.

There is a lot to see in the Daytona Beach area.
There is a lot to see in the Daytona Beach area. I discovered a new place, The Daytona Beach Aquarium, which is new and expanding as well. Instead of building more for this attraction they did a great job of repurposing a former retail area. I will be revisiting that attraction for sure. Like all areas of the world the climate has taken a toll in recent years, but Daytona area is doing a wonderful job of getting things restored. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that like any place including where you live everyday it is wise to know your surroundings. I attended opening day of the Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark with my son and daughter-in-law and was delighted to see how the area came out to support their team. There is far more to see and do in that area if you take the time to research what is there.
The access from the hotel to the beach was destroyed by a storm I don't know how long ago, which obliged us to a 5-minute walk to the public access to the beach. The beach itself is the good memory I have from the staying. It is worth to get up early to see the sunrise on the horizon. Incredibly beautiful. The room was big, but that's all for good. The breakfast was also reasonable, nothing exceptional, but in a budget, it won't bore you for a couple of days.
NOTHING!!!!! This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. Most definitely do NOT bring your kids here. There were people on the balcony that appeared to live there yelling and cussing at each other. Another smoking a joint right out in the open. And THEN when I requested a cancellation because there was no pool, and no beach access. This was a trip for my kids birthday so we did NOT stay. Most definitely the trashiest hotel I have ever been to at Daytona beach.
Rob the Manager, & Frank @ front desk make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive!!Dillon&the rest of the valet service gentleman are always so curtious & helpful!!We've tried the Hilton, Marriott,&other top of the line resoert&Hotels, but none of them can hold a candle to the Shores Resort&Spa!!!This is my wife's favorite spot in Daytona,so we come here we stay at least 3 to 5 times a year... ITS DEFINITELY A HIDDEN GEM!!
I love the location close to restaurants. I love ❤️ my oceanfront room, # 705 . The beds were king-size very comfortable. Three people can sleep in on bed. I love the kitchenette supplies all the utensils, pots, glasses, and plates. There was a nice size refrigerator. I will definitely recommend this hotel to stay at. There was continental breakfast, I like it because I'm really not a big breakfast person.
Great apartment with a wonderful views over the beach. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the pelicans flying over us (with an even better view of the pelicans on the roof of the hotel). All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice little cafe and bar near the pool and direct beach access. The apartment had everything we needed and we can highly recommend.
The hotel was right on the beach, within striking distance of all the attractions of Daytona Beach. It was clean and comfortable. However the best thing was the staff at the hotel - Mark the manager and his colleagues. They were very welcoming and went above and beyond to help us while we were there for a festival, thank you team!
This was a really nice Hilton oceanfront hotel with nice ocean view and convenient shopping and restaurants across the street. The rooms were ok, and staff were friendly and professional the entire stay. The rates are very reasonable compared to nearby hotels. I would stay here again during next Daytona visit.
The property was clean and “theme oriented.” I enjoyed reading the memorabilia and listening to the music. The staff was friendly and made our stay comfortable. The hotel is also “kid friendly.” My children enjoyed the pool and “kid club.” I really love how the hotel is near the beach. Awesome experience!!
The lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful. Our room was a double bed with kitchen. Very nice, clean. not the Hilton. But is well worth the money. The view of the ocean was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay here We booked another night. We also had a pet with us.
Was not told the pool and beach access was under construction.. but, I wasn’t too upset seeing how I got such a great price per night with not a bunch of extra hidden charges , that’s rare when booking anything in Daytona beach and elsewhere
The staff were quite friendly, helpful and knowlegable The hotel is a venerable hotel with lots of history. Everything works well but it is not plush and it is not a cookie cutter Hilton. We would stay there again
We love this hotel because it's right on the water Daytona Beach is a great place to go and sitting on the balcony watching the waves is breathtaking we often times see dolphins out in the water
Great location. Easy access to the beach and close to Daytona Beach activities. Washer and dryer accessibility. Happy hour was awesome. Pool was nice and warm. Hotel is clean and inviting.
The hotel felt old and weathered. The bar was an awful experience, under staffed and waited for a cocktail. I am a Hilton Honor and never once was given a water.
Good location and quiet. Beach front is clean and neat. Cars do go by and park with music etc…just a neat, quiet hotel. Free parking. Pool & jacuzzi and plus!
Fantastic location right on the beautiful Daytona beach. Amazing staff and facilities. Food was great with friendly service. All round excellent hotel.
