I like Dothan Alabama and I have lived there before.
I like Dothan Alabama and I have lived there before. It was nice before and it has grown a lot and it's even better. There's lots to do and places to eat out, shop, movies, and entertainment for the kids. The cost of living is cheaper than Gainesville Florida and I am considering returning after retirement plus I'll be closer to family.

Dothan reminds me of Chattanooga in 1988. Prices were reasonable everywhere. People are kind. at 11pm in town I saw a lot of security, which made me wonder if it wasn't safe - but they keep it good and they dont seems to have issues. Went for a weekend Scottish Highland Games festival to run a tent for the first year. we absolutely loved the place and will add it to the recurring list. Except next time I might stay a week to relax more in town and hit more of those great BBQ, southern food spots that are still high value, good pricing. As a mainly Florida Clan, we might just make Dothan the fall getaway location for some great golfing, pecans, and peanuts. Blue Plate diner yesterday was $16 for BBQ chicken, 2 sides, fresh peach cobbler alamode and great sweet tea with lemon. Had another dinner at D&D near Daleville - that was fantastic and they stopped by the table every 5 minutes to get us what ever we wanted, even from the potato or salad bar without us needing to get up! That is service. and the kindest of all people. I LOVE this town. and the golfing was great - did a few days at the Dothan National and their lighted range was lighted at night to 1-2AM with a full bar and the NEW CALLAWAY smart shot system that records, time, club, swing speed, ball speed, loft height, distance in air, total distance, grouping, analysis, sorting. different tee heights or hit off the lush artificial turf you stand on. I didnt get to the Robert Trent course but those at the range had and said it was in pristine condition. This town is a Mecca of sorts and southern by the Grace of God.AntonUnited States of America - 10Scored 10
Downtown Dothan is gorgeous.
Downtown Dothan is gorgeous. It is being redone and has so much to offer. There's also a Waterpark, several walking/biking trails. All the shopping and eating you could want with friendly people. Blue moon Cafe downtown and MCCC are definitely musts.AAnonymousUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

Dothan’s roads were a mess. The city looks dirty. I reared my children in Dothan 20 years ago. At that time it was a clean city with a lot of family activities. I would never move back. I was very happy with Dothan.
I was very happy with Dothan. The ring road concept lets you get places fast and you can find what you are looking for. This was a quick trip but still I was very happy with the city and would return again. The mall was nice even in this Covid 19 time. I felt the mall was very responsible in how they handled the patrons. Would rather return in the warmer weather but go check it out. Lots of bargains to find in DothanCarolUnited States of America

She even went a step further to check on restaurant for us to eat at, but when we arrived at 10 min later they're closed. She even called my mom to let her knw her room had to be changed Our rooms were clean beds neatly done. The beds were very comfortable but that wide frame on the bed may hurt someone knee. The pricing was awesome & I do appreciate this cost efficient hotel. All the staff was helpful

The bed’s headboard still had hand prints from the previous guest. The tub and the toilet were not clean and I found curly pieces of hair in the sheets from the previous visitors. I only stayed because there were no more vacancy in the city of Dothan that particular night. And I could not get rest in the middle of night because the next door guests were yelling and screaming all night and barbecuing.

The bed in my room was very soft and comfortable! The swimming was off limits and closed for some reason. A problem developed on the first floor a cleanup service resulting from a leak in the rooftop! Over all, it was a quiet decent stay at the hotel!
