The property was super clean and the staff especially were very accommodating with flexible checkout.
We were not expecting such high hospitality. Warm and very friendly staff.

The front desk clerk was very helpful. Made me feel at home. And it might be an older motel. But it's still kept up. Liked it!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It felt more like visiting family than a hotel.

This place is awesome! The neighborhood was super quiet and if you crack your windows before bed you can hear the soft lullaby of the nearby surf washing the beach clean and soothing nerves. I haven't slept this good in my life, and either that sound or the soft embrace of the most perfect mattress ever completely relaxed me. I wish I knew what mattress they had in the master bedroom. We didn't use the kitchen or living room much due to the need to explore the Oregon Coast; there isn't a better spot from which to plan and launch those beautiful memories, but both were clean and cozy. The bathrooms are the most modern I have seen, and the showers were like standing in a soft warm rain in a mountain stream.
I have read reviews regarding the trail to the beach so I will say this: I have shrapnel in one leg, a reconstructed right ankle, and degenerative disc disease. Multiple IED events resulted in multiple TBIs and subsequent vertigo and loss of sense of direction. I handled it with ease, and the nearby hobbit trail as well. The trail is super easy to find and follow and the beach is nice, though if you want to find driftwood and other shoreline treasures I would range wider.
Thanks for letting us stay in your home, I needed the rest and tranquility. I hope others find peace there as I did.

The availability and location the inside of the room was excellent
Set on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, this Florence hotel is 10.2 miles from Sea Lion Caves. It features an indoor pool, hot tub and an accommodations with a private balcony.
Came to look at houses in various towns!! Sea Lion Cave was interesting. The Pancake Mill is a great place to get breakfast. Of course it was raining a lot so it was not the time to go shopping and looking at other places...but we will be back when the weather is better!!

The Waterfront Depot restaurant shouldn't be missed but get a reservation. The food and service are top notch.
Traveler's Cove has really good Mexican food. The ambience is fair but there is a nice view. Great service.
The Restobar restaurant should be avoided. The food is terrible, and the ambience is ok if you like batting flies away from your food. The service is below average.

There are really only 2 options to say in Florence Old Town.
There are really only 2 options to say in Florence Old Town. Both are right next to Old Town. I have chosen Old Town Inn for both of my stays in Florence. I really enjoy Florence Old Town; it is right along the banks of the Suislaw River. Cute shops and restaurants abound. Many a harbor seal to be found in the river. If you get tired of the river, and Old Town, don’t fret…the sand dunes and the ocean are just on the other side of Hwy 101. Florence is a larger Oregon Coastal Town; therefore if you need something the quaint shops of Old Town cannot provide, Florence has you covered. Florence is also just over an hour away from Eugene, and Newport (Yachats is only 25 min away). Will you enjoy Florence? Absolutely!

I have always loved Florence.
I have always loved Florence. The Old Town has lots of good restaurants and shopping. It's very relaxing and is nice and cool in the summer! There is a really nice nursery on the north end of town and you can drive around the countryside and looks around.

Sea Lion Caves were worth the price! Old Town is a must!
Sea Lion Caves were worth the price! Old Town is a must! Darlingtoniia Preserve was a quick 5 minute adventure. Too much to do in a short trip! Lovely town, but very, very windy when hot in the valley.

I love Florence Oregon!
I love Florence Oregon! We visited the beach where they blew up the dead whale in the 1970's! 😜 Biggest down fall is their aren't a lot of restaurants to choose from. The ones they have, have good food, just not a lot of dining space. Beautiful weekend lots of sun.q
Easy access to the old town portion of Florence. Good parking, Even with being right on HWY 101 we didn't notice a lot of noise at night. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We didn't interact with staff except for check in. They were friendly and helpful. They gave us info on a future stay when we bring our pets. They had a list of hotels that accept pets in the local area they had printed and waiting to give guests. That was a nice gesture.
I stay in motels about 325 days a year. I usually do not leave a review unless the motel is very good or very bad. That means I do not leave reviews about 90% of the time. But this is a VERY GOOD motel. Attractively furnished, everything works great, quiet, very helpful reception and staff. It is a couple of miles out of Florence. There is a small market right across the street but not much else. But the quiet setting is worth it.
Comfortable, affordable hotel in a good location. The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size. They are in the process of upgrading some of the rooms so there was some construction noise during the day but none after 5:00. They offered a hot breakfast that included eggs, biscuits & gravy in addition to the usual continental offerings. All in all a great bargain and a comfortable place to stay while visiting Florence.
There’s no getting around it, this hotel is in need of refurbishment. But any shortcomings here are more than made up for by the attitude of the staff. John on reception, is the consummate professional, going well beyond my expectations to help me out when I had a transport problem. I really can’t praise his attitude highly enough - whatever they’re paying him isn’t enough.
Driftwood shores has lovely views right on the beach, you can see the ocean from your window and walk right down to the water. They also have a shop/deli within the hotel which is convenient as the closest town with food is about a 10-15 minute drive and if you arrive late it's a good option.
Classic American motel that is close to the main road, has free parking and clean rooms and no frills. We used the motel for a weekend in Florence. There was a short 15 minute walk to Florence old town center and two good breakfast diners (Dunes and Brown Hen) minutes from the motel.
The room was clean but very basic. The hotel itself is old and outdated and located on a busy trafficky strip. There was a homeless guy asleep on a bench 3 ft from the entrance to the secured hallway to get into our room and the parking lot smelled like urine.
Although there are few amenities, the Landmark Inn is basic, simple, and very pleasant. It was absolutely quiet at night, and the inn is in a good location - within walking distance from Old Town. This will be our go-to place when we come to Florence again.
Location was close to beach but sheltered from the wind. Everything was clean and up-to-date. The washer and dryer were a definite plus. This location is close to the shopping and restaurants in Florence, dune buggy rides, sea lion cave and state parks.
The breakfast buffet was quite nice considering most hotels are still offering grab-and-go breakfast. The location is perfect, near the river in Florence, although not close enough to the town to be able to walk. The covered pool was open and it was nice.
We loved that the hotel was connected to the casino and not having to walk outside when it was raining. The rooms are very clean and the beds were so comfortable. We also loved all of the variety of foods as well. Great fine dining restaurant on site.
I love that you can always count on having a clean place to stay. This may be a no frills motel, but you can always guarantee a clean room with comfy beds at a good price. With the cost of hotels in this town this is a hidden gem.
The cleanliness of the room was unexpectedly amazing. Also, on the outside it really gives off the vibe of the motels Sam and Dean stayed in during the first season of Supernatural, loved that!
Clean spacious home for our group of 5. The host had excellent communication. We would choose this place again for our next visit to Florence. Thank you for a great stay!
