Perfect location! I loved sitting on the balcony with the fireplace on enjoying the view. Bed was very comfy too. We will return.
Los Osos is an enchanting and serene secret. We vacation there at least twice a year. There are magical sights, i.e Elfin Park, Montana de Oro, as well as local pubs and eateries locally. If you desire a relaxing getaway from work stress and freeways, Los Osos is where you'll find serenity.

This is a lesser known little town that is just delightful. There are galleries, restaurants, a wonderful Monday farmers' market and friendly people. But the real gem is the access to state reserves and forests, beautiful beaches and bird sanctuaries. Nearby Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo offer wineries and other opportunities.

Los Osos is one of our favorite places to visit. The weather is wonderful. There are many beautiful places to visit close by, which is great because my husband is an artist and finds lots of beautiful subjects for his paintings. It’s quiet and the people are friendly and very helpful.
We can’t wait to go back!!

Los Osos is such a lovely, relaxing, sleepy little town close to Montaña de Oro. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it. We marveled at how the tide of the bay changed constantly and the large cypress and eucalyptus trees in the neighborhood surrounding the bay. Sweet water nature preserve was a nice tranquil nearby walk. A town very close to nature. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while visiting nearby Montaña de Oro amd Morro Bay.
I did like the location. I enjoyed getting up and looking out at the Bay in the morning and you were within walking distance to a few restuarants. The Bakery on third st has wonderful fresh baked breads and other goodies. I had their asparagus quiche and coffee one morning, it was good.
The Baywood Inn location is very central to other towns. I visited Avila Beach and Morro Bay, each were less than 45 minutes away.
Breakfast was next door at the Mexican restaurant and was really tasty. The room was excellent with everything you could need and a beautiful view of the ocean. Los Osos itself is a little sparse but as a stopover en route to San Francisco from LA it was ideal driving distance and provided scope for a relaxing start to a California travelling holiday. Coffees and cakes available at reception was a really nice touch
We stayed in the new building, in a very large suite. The place feels very modern and comfortable and quiet and clean. Loved the fire tables and tasteful landscaping. The location in town is neary ideal; the lagoon is just across the street and the nearby cafes and restaurants are delightful. The town of Los Osos/Baywood has a peaceful vibe. Be sure to stop by the honey stand on Santa Ysabel Ave as you leave!
The homely, clean, and picturesque view of the room we stayed in rendered a wonderful leisure vacation for us. The food in the hotel was also very good and reasonably priced. The receptionists at the lobby were all so cordial and helpful. The location of the hotel is very close to Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, and San Luis Obispo. We are looking forward to another visit sometime in the near future.
To meet safety standards for COVID the hotel made smart decisions in providing take out breakfast pre-ordered the night before. Coffee and snacks were always available in the lobby.
Location was beautiful. We could catch the sunset over the water from our window, or walk across the street to sit on the dock. This is a very low key but beautiful area of the central coast.
Brie, who was our server in the restaurant was fantastic, gave us recommendations on which beaches to visit. She was Very friendly, breakfast was delicious both days. Pretty grounds on the property. Easy access to Morro Bay and other areas. Montana De Oro Stat park is less than a mile away. Found multiple trails and beaches, not crowded. Gorgeous!!
loved this hotel, the staff were friendly, they have everything you need in the room! The complimentary snacks were so welcome after travelling! everything was clean and the location is perfect! nice quiet location with a few restaurants!
plenty of parking!
Breakfast was Delicious! The best breakfast I've had at a hotel. If you stay here, try the breakfast because it's worth every penny paid.
The balcony was nice and so was the view at night.
Staff was pleasant and extremely helpful!
very comfortable hotel, with each room nicely themed (we had Americana). easy checkin and checkout.
Bonus was free wine and snacks in the evening.
Breakfast was provided by one (or another) local restaurants and was very good
Nice big room and patio, which we really love. To sit there, watching sunset and have a drink is one of the best moments of our holiday (we get probably best room in whole hotel). We were really satisfied.
Location was nice too.
