The bed was comfortable but it was a dirty room that needed vacuumed and there was MOLD on the bathroom walls of room 109. Dont rent there . We will never again book a room from wingate in mentor ever again. There was no maid service to bring fresh towels and there was no hot breakfast on Saturday. Lots of activities. Came because I had a stroke and could get to the sand and sit on a log while family walked beach. Could not make it to the water thru sand buy close and loved the sites and sounds of the Lake. Hotels, restaurants close. This was an outstanding place to go for a one-tank vacation...
This was an outstanding place to go for a one-tank vacation with my sister for Girls Week Away. Drove from Columbus to Vermilion then stopped at Huntington Beach then stayed in Mentor. Saw the Garfield house, the Headlands beach, Wildwood, Holden arboretum, Himalayan Salt caves, and the Mentor Lagoon with its private rocky beach. Went to the Sisters Tea Room, but didn’t get to eat there. Plenty to do—but loved historic Vermilion so much, we ended up going back that way to see the shops that were closed on Sunday.
