The hotel didn't look at all like the pics. The hotel is under construction and had no lobby. The pool area is ok. The room was ok too but thermostat was not working and room was really warm. They came and fix it which is nice. The website says its 1 mile from Newport, but it was longer and not walkable.

The location is super convenient, literally around the corner from the main business area. Surprisingly quiet despite the location. Breakfast was wonderful, we had three options to choose. We checked in a bit later, which helped due to our tight schedule.

Beautiful and friendly town. We went the week leading up to Memorial Day and it was a great time because the crowds were low. Took a trolley tour with Viking and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said cruise boats come in September and it gets very crowded. Parking can be a pain and is expensive. Lots of great seafood places to eat. Went to Mystic, CT one day. Can easily do everything in Newport in 2 days. Some of the mansions didn't open until June 2nd, but we saw The Breakers, Marble House and Rosecliff. Highly recommend getting dinner reservations a couple of weeks early (White Horse Tavern, The Mooring, Brick and Alley Pub). Ate at the Newport Lobster Shake and watched the fisherman bring in their catch of the day. Also recommend Anthoy's Seafood in Middletown.

The trolly tour was fantastic and Rob gave us several tips.
The trolly tour was fantastic and Rob gave us several tips. Enjoyed visiting the Breaker Mansion, the cliff walk, Easton Beach. Celebrated our Anniversary dinner at the White Horse Tavern and had an amazing meal! Lots of shops and food places on Thames St near where we stayed at the Harborside Inn. Some places are hard to park so better to walk if possible. Overall great 3 day visit to Newport!

The cutest small town any time of year.
The cutest small town any time of year. I've been in the summer when people fill the beaches and streets, and I've been in the winter when the buildings are decorated with lights and everyone hangs ornaments on a Christmas tree on the beach. Lots of places to walk and explore both along the water and inland, many historical and beautiful buildings to tour, vineyards and beaches to spend your time, and wonderful places to stay.

We loved it all, but especially the Red Parrot and Moorings where we had great food. Ma's Donuts on the outskirts of the town was excellent too, if no good for the waistline. Travel in town is easy out of season. We walked a lot and when driving easily found parking for free.

Unfortunately, I reached the hotel on night of September 23rd whereas my booking Thro Booking.com was from September 24th
The hotel charged almost USD 1000 for one night, which I felt was terrible
Hotel was not full and charging more than double than per night rate of Booking.com left us with bad experience
Loved the room and location. View was spectacular. Super friendly staff and amazingly quick check-in. Newport is a great town and the hotel is near to everything. I would have liked to see a little more at the resort for kids. Space was limited but maybe a small play area (swingset)? Also, the biggest deficiency was how dated the suite was. It was large and comfortable, but getting old. Kind of had an 80's look.
Everything was gorgeous. The room, the view on Thames Street, the lobby and the breakfast were exceptional. Possibly one of the best breakfasts offerings I've seen for a boutique hotel. They had a happy hour which was also exceeded my expectations. The staff was so friendly, and the location cannot be beat. Parking was very easy across the street. The room was very clean.
Brilliant location, just a 10 minute stroll to the marina. Hotel was nice but just a bit tired and needs a bit of updating. Our bathroom wasn't clean and requires some maintenance. The extractor fan was so noisy and needs replacing. The room was a decent size (we were in the annexe). There is a rooftop garden area which was lovely to sit out on in the evening.
The hotel is near Washington square and within walking distance to everything which was great since there is a parking problem in Newport. It was convenient that the inn has parking spaces in the back and the staff at Cleveland Inn is very helpful and always in the Property in case there is a problem.
The staff was excellent. Warm and helpful. The front desk manager gave us an upgraded room free of charge. That never happens to us! The hotel is right in the center of Newport and you can walk to everything which is convenient. The room and the whole hotel was nicely decorated and spacious.
The interior of the apartment was nice and it was convenient to downtown Newport - within walking distance if you like a long walk. The area was beautiful! The ability to park in the lot behind the Inn was a godsend, as parking in Newport can be difficult and very expensive.
The Inn host was lovely and welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We love Newport and stay all over- this was by far one of our favorite Inns/hotels! The morning breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again

One of the more uniquely decorated hotels and rooms I've stayed in. Very relaxing and yet close to great places and sights in Newport.
Staff is very friendly and Morgan is a rock star concierge.
nice staff, Peter was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Other staff were very friendly.
Room was the cleanest and best maintained hotel room I’ve ever stayed in!
Luxury experience with meager off-season rates makes blending into Newport for a week in winter an annual event: two baths and two bedrooms at hotel room rates.
* lovely big room with 2 double beds
* Excellent breakfast
* Location of Hotel close to Bars, shops etc.
* Lovely staff
* Afternoon tea
* Quiet location
