stayed here and was surprised how 'bustling' the area is. Had really good restaurants and very easy to get around. This motel was great for this particular trip. The staff were helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed the swimming pool. We ate at the Asian place (Bao's) and the BBQ place (Witt). Relaxing get away, not too far - we traveled from Houston. It is a really poor area and many of the businesses are closing down due to a lack of business. They are rebuilding some places but the Garmin GPS took me to many places including a Kroger and a Walmart that had been closed down. There are plenty of fast food places to eat, but there is a lot of construction that often makes it difficult to get around the area and causes significant traffic delays.
