Nice hotel and staff, in a weird place though it's hard to get around in the cloverleaf.

We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way...
We were looking for a place to spend the night on our way north and Troutville answered that bill. There were several dining options in the vicinity, Being in the mountains, I suppose there were some scenic places around but our schedule did not permit us the time to scout them out.

We have stayed here previously.
We have stayed here previously. The facility looks like it has gone downhill with dirty carpets in the hallways, old deteriorating showers, etc. When we arrived the front desk person was 1/2 hr. late to work, so we had people standing in line to check in. I called the proprietor's phone number on business card and received the customer service desk for Red Oak. Totally unacceptable. Owner of property is using contract with local electrical company and housing weekly workers to provide his income. Forget about the traveler using hotel for convenience to I-81. Shameful.
We were extremely happy with our overnight stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the beds and pillows were so comfortable and the staff was friendly. They had a nice breakfast available and the coffee was excellent. After a long day of driving it was great to walk next door to Cracker Barrel for dinner. I highly recommend this Quality Inn and we will definitely stay here again!
We had a dog with us and we were assigned a room on the side of the hotel closest to I-81. Road noise was a problem, but luckily, I carry a pack of wax and cotton earplugs with me. My husband and I both used them and the beds were SHOCKINGLY comfy and cozy. We had the best night's sleep of the whole weekend there.
The only problem at this location was the power outage and we were told an hour for everything to be restored and it took several hours.Lucky it wasn’t hot inside and the hot water for a shower was working. The hotel staff did their best and for that my family and I are grateful.Breakfast was awesome.
The staff were very friendly and our room, linen and towels had a clean, fresh smell. The continental breakfast was fantastic! Something for everyone. There are restaurants close by and the highway is right there! Our stay here, our daughter graduated from VA Tech, was very nice.
We stayed at another Comfort Suite in Fayetteville, NC. It was a horrible experience. Cockroaches, and other bugs infested in our room. Honestly had no intension of staying at a Comfort hotel again. Your hotel was a night and day in comparison.
They rented to me even though I live within the 50 mile radius that some other hotels won’t rent to. We were getting work done on our house and needed a place close to home to stay for a couple nights.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Good area to walk my dog.
Restaurant (Angelle's) nearby is good for breakfast. And I had my car serviced at Valvoline Oil change next door.
It was close off of I-81. Two hotels side by side so pay attention to what entrance you are entering. It was difficult to see at night in the pouring down rain.
