A lovely hotel, clean and cosy. The staff really helpful and attentive. Our room was big enough for a family of 4, beds comfortable. We really liked the lobby/bar area with a fire place and a couple of tables where we could eat dinner (a la cart) or relax drinking wine (a complimentary glass of wine was a lovely surprise). There is a swimming pool which looked really nice but we didn't use it.

We loved Monterey! The place itself is nice, private parking, good space room, comfy beds. The biggest advantage - location. About 20 min to the Aquarium and 20 min to restaurants the other way. The amazing thing is that you walk to restaurant and see sea lions just chilling on the rocks..

Plenty of nooks to settle into in the public areas, too, though I didn’t have time for that. This is a lovely inn, and I’ve already rebooked for next year.

Needed an update throughout and staff seemed a bit fed up. Monterey itself was amazing so just used the room as a base but not a room designed to go back and relax in. Balcony was just a door to the road. Was cheep tho so kept the holiday budget down.

We loved every second of your stay! Comfortable beds and pillows, luxury toileteries, coffee maker with coffee and cream, soft towels… The location is great too, very close to the beach and kajak rental and close to a lake and park. Our best stay on the West Coast! We would definitely love to stay here again.MaudFamily with young children
