Friendly staff and quiet place!

From the moment we drove up the road to this property until leaving, we loved everything about it. The smell of the surrounding forests, the nearby ocean, woodsmoke coming from the fireplaces in the rooms was intoxicating, the air fresh, the room very large, comfortable and with a fireplace that enabled us to truly relax after long days in this gorgeous area. Breakfast was good, and the owner a very genial, friendly, welcoming and interesting man (see the large, signed poster of Bill Murray in the dining area). This is the kind of hotel that I can imagine people coming back to year after year, and if we lived closer, we would design our holidays around staying at this lovely hotel. Did I mention the 2 hot tubs and the generous glass of local wine offered to guests in the afternoons? I wish more hotels were styled like this delightful place to stay!

This is a quaint, old fashioned property. We loved the decor, the warm welcome we received and the history of the property. If you want modern this is not for you. If you want charm book it! The breakfast was lovely and the wine and hor deurves were a real treat. We loved the location and our stay. Thank you.

Mostly everything was great. Beautiful cottage and location. Artificial fireplace in the room. Sand it was needed in August. Location closer to the ocean cliff, and fear walking nearby. I wished I stayed longer.

Excellent stay in this hotel. The room totally exceeded my expectations. Room is spacious, nice and welcoming. The bed is very comfy and we had a good night sleep. the area is very quiet. Hotel is right next to a restaurant but the restaurant closes at 7pm and opens on Fridays to Sundays. From the hotel, we walked to the beach which is about 10-15 mins away. We can see the sunset there.

The room was really comfy, in nature, with very comfortable beds. Super close to 17 Mile Drive and Carmel. It was like to be in the forest! Super friendly staff.
