As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Very beautiful well maintained property. Rooms, facilities and grounds were all well maintained. Staff were always helpful.

Located in the heart of Funchal’s Lido area, this 4-star hotel is a short walk from the city centre and boasts contemporary interiors and an outdoor pool with a terrace. The hotel was close to many restaurants and shops! Very close to the beach…. The pool was nice. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of selections to choose from. My room had a sea view which was a plus! The staff were very helpful and accommodating! Great hotel to stay in!

Good soundproofing (we could only hear the sounds through the room door) Versatile breakfast, enough (simple) vegan options Nearly no birdman (the man/woman with the wild predator bird hanging around), only a glimpse seen (bird exploitation sucks) Enjoyable design of the hotel, live music at the bar, game room with chess tables Each guest has their own key card Recycling bin Good location Price to quality ratio is superb

Featuring panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, this luxurious hotel in Funchal offers an indoor and outdoor pool and spa. The rooms include a balcony and cable TV. The breakfast was 1st class. Great service and nice facilities.

We appreciated very nice approach of the staff. We also enjoyed delicious food, nice ocean view from our room as well as from the bar on the rooftop.
