I really enjoyed biking around: this place is perfect if you want to experience the Japanese countryside! The beach is very close too, looking at the lake at night was really amazing. I met the owner, Iki, who was very friendly and accommodating. Her house is lovely with all the facilities that we need. It has parking spot that can fit 2 MPVs. The house has good heater system (we went in winter), washer, tatami & beds, kitchen for us to cook with basic appliances. The location is about 10-15mins away from the Hakodateyama Gondola (our main target was Mt Hakodateyama to play snow). The house was easy to find as per the google map's direction.

Booked the tiny villa with 2 rooms, 1 bath and 1 toilets. Spacious for a family with one young child. The Omi Nakasho train station is 2 minutes walk from the place. JR train will take you straight to Kyoto/Osaka. Host (Wen) is a darling. She picked us up from Hakodateyama Ski Resort when we missed the last bus. She then took us to get something from the supermarket near Omi Imazu train station. Thank you so much! We cycled to Lake Biwa (5min bike ride) in the morning. Lovely morning ride! Would visit again.
