This place is perfect if you wish to socialize with fellow travelers! Very clean place, ample connectivity options, as well as spacious sleeping quarters. Just bring an extra extension cable, as power connections tend to get filled up fast, due to the number of people connecting their laptops to the place. I can't recommend this place enough! Access to the train station is also reasonable and is a 15-minute walk from the guesthouse to Kameari station. Also, if your birthday falls during your stay, the host will celebrate it by setting up a small dinner for you! :D Very personal touch to a very wonderful experience!

Location is convenient and quiet. A little small for 4 (as it’s Tokyo) but has everything. Clean! The host Kasuki sen is super nice and patient. Very helpful showing us around his community.

The room was a good size and came with a small kitchen. Many heaters were provided. The area was very quiet. Very close to shimokitazawa station and shops.

Excellent location, most excellent staff. The owner will go out of his way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Convenient kitchen with cookware and cutlery. The showers are shared, but only between 2 rooms.

Hisayo-san! She’s the perfect host. Super friendly and kind and was very patient with all my questions. She kept everyone involved so that we could all help each other out. I inherited Jon-san’s pillow (thank you Jon-san!) and if I did leave anything behind, please pass it on to someone in need! Arigatō gozaimashita Hisayo-san :) mata rainen!

There’s big common area where people can gather together. Had nice chat with people from around the world. The location is convenient as well.

I choose to rest here because this accommodation has car parking area and I would like to try to rest in Japanese style house. When I arrived , everything so WOW ,Very beautiful Japanese house with the beautiful garden in front of the room. The room is so big and have everything even though Ukata clothes. Here is very charming in every detail decoration, I love its all. Surely that it’s valuable for the money. So the host is very nice and good in English language. He advised us to plan the Tokyo trip. He would help to pick up & drop off us at the train station. After check out I forgot my overcoat there, the host help to send it to me. I’m grateful , many thanks the kindly host 🥰 I recommend this

I cannot stop recommending this place! I booked Hanare for my very first stay in Japan. And I am sooo happy I did so! Th atmosphere of the place is very calm and relaxing. There are meditative sounds in the hallway and the place smells like wood! Perfect to wind down after a 20 h flight! I also don’t know what they put in the water but my hair and skin looked so healthy after the shower. The staff, both Momo and Nana are extremely friendly and helpful. I had a technical issue with booking and they resolved it all so quick and kind for me. Thank you once more for this!! Also they contacted me for a forgotten item which I picked up upon my later return to Tokyo. The neighbourhood is also simply amazing for a first introduction into the city and country. Momo recommended me a great sushi place where I ate the first evening. It felt like I was in a movie! I loved it so much I also came back after 3 weeks travelling Japan and had once again one of the best dinners of my stay! If I ever have the chance to come back I definitely want to book this again.
