Featuring 1-star accommodation, Sapporo Guest House 庵 Anne is set in Sapporo, 14 km from Sapporo Station and 25 km from Otaru Station. What a host! I have never stayed in a guest house with such a welcoming and engaging host. I really felt like the owner and host cared about their guests a lot and made their stay very pleasant. I really enjoyed engaging with the other guests in this guesthouse, which enables people to get to know each other during breakfast, at the bar or in the common room. The facilities were nicely designed and decorated. Despite the distance to the centre of Sapporo, I would definitely recommend this hidden gem to everyone. Additionally, the shorter distance to Teine Olympia and Highland Ski Resort and Otaru is very convenient. This guesthouse is perfectly located in between Sapporo Downtown and Otaru, which both are worth a visit.

Offering city views, Opopo home 竜宮店 is an accommodation situated in Otaru, less than 1 km from Otaru Station and 18 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center. A couple of very nice bosses from Shanghai China, gave us a lot of advices about how to travel in Otaru and good restaurants. I think we will stay in Opopo home again when we travel to Otaru.

Offering quiet street views, BEACH AND FIELD INN is an accommodation set in Sapporo, 3.9 km from Sapporo Station and 10 km from Shin-Sapporo Station. I loved everything in this hostel! The owner and the staff were very nice. They helped me bring my luggage to my room and always poured me water when I needed to refill my bottle. They were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit. The hostel is very cozy and clean. It can get challenging to go to the hostel from the train station especially when you have a luggage but aside from that, everything was perfect and I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in sapporo :)

Set 6.5 km from Sapporo Station, 10 km from Shin-Sapporo Station and 24 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center, Guesthouse OYADO SAPPORO offers accommodation situated in Sapporo. I felt welcomed in this place and all thanks to great Yoshie! The whole building is not that big but it is cozy. It is clean, comfortable beds and relatively close to central part of the city. I will come back again.

Shabby House is a 60-year old traditional Japanese home that is situated in Sapporo. Nishisenjuyojo Station is a 3-minute walk away from the property. Kudo-san I will never forget such a kind and helpful host I have ever had. For such a non-expensive option I think this place and its keeper really did exceed my expectations. The owner really did come to pick up from the station when I arrived in the evening, then made a nice little breakfast every morning, then also helped many times with how to go to certain tourist locations. Had wonderful time spending at Shabby House and with its vintage vibes! My room was not large but just good for one person with nice comfy bed. I genuinely recommend this place.
