We were surprised at the attention to detail in ever room and were thankful for it all showed the hosts' incredible generosity. There's a ton of books to read on everything Hawaii; wished we would have stayed until we were done reading all the books. The vegetation all around it is just stunning. The unit is squeaky clean and very well kept. Perfect for exploring the volcano area. ,

It is off-grid, compact, well designed, and had everything I needed. I loved the screened in porch with a view of the ocean. It was so quiet and peaceful - I slept great there. It is off the beaten track but easy to find - a little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. Yet is is not far from Kealakekua, Captain Cook town, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, and Ho`okena Beach. I enjoyed meeting and talking with Arthur, the host. I plan to stay there the next time I visit my family nearby.

Wonderful accommodations with plenty of extras. Well stocked kitchen with up to date appliances and cookware. The unit has beautiful views all around and close to everything. Towels and a multitude of beach stuff was available to use. We enjoyed exploring the trail through the historic site to the fishponds to the private beach. The unit provided a detailed book about everything you can do. Communication was excellent and I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response. Definitely would highly recommend.
