I'm what you would call an "Accidental Host"". My skills as a professional photographer lead me to meeting with a local homeowner that lead to me forming Desert Vacation dot Rentals, LLC and managing multiple properties in California, Maine, New York and France. I've been a resident here in the desert for 28 years and counting. Joshua Tree National Park is my "church" and my photography muse. I love sharing my passion for this arid landscape with visitors from all over the world. Whether it be sharing some of my favorite locations in the park or dining at one of our local restaurants. Situated in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park main entrance, our home offers all the amenities you need to relax and unwind. Whether you want to spend time exploring hiking trails in the park or simply soak away your worries in the hot tub, you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your stay.

Our home is located in a residential neighborhood with homes on either side of our property. There is open desert nearby for guests to explore. We also have views of the city from our backyard and views of the mountains surrounding the national park from the front yard. A vehicle is recommended for getting around our rural desert community. We do not have an abundance of riding sharing services in our area. There are a few taxi cab companies that service the desert.
