Our story began in High School where Mel and I dated, this was in 1999. We dated for some months and went to senior prom. Life happens and we went our separate ways. 13 years later and each of us having gone through starting a family and going through a divorce we reconnected on, of all places, Facebook. We had our 2nd 1st date and then Mel spent 6 weeks traveling the US with me for work. We drove 10k miles in 6 weeks and needless to say we experienced many of our firsts during that time. Fast forward a bit and we had our only child together, we have 3 amazing children between us. We lived in the Houston area and made the move to South Texas where we grew up. We lived down south for 7 years and during that time we opened a Cajun themed restaurant called Gator's Grub and Pub. About a yr. and a half ago we made the move to Clovis, NM. We knew we wanted to get into the cannabis business and applied for our grow license and were approved, we were in the game. In October of 2023 we finally sold and closed on our Texas home and we had the seed money to do something different. We closed on what we now know as The Canna House in November of 2023.

The first and only Bud and Breakfast in the great state of New Mexico. Located in the downtown district of Clovis, NM, The Canna House is a hop, skip and a jump from the Texas border and only a few hours from Lubbock and Amarillo. This 1930's home was a family home for many years and then housed a title company in the 1990s and 2000s only to once again become a family home until High Society Rentals acquired the property in November of 2023. Uniquely designed and decorated by Matt and Mel Soto The Canna House boasts over 5000 square feet of space and offers 4 rooms downstairs and 1 room upstairs with a separate entrance. Rooms feature names like Indica Sweet, Blue Dream, Pineapple Express, Panama Red, and Purple Kush. The play on cannabis strains and room color and decor brings a special touch to The Canna House.
