Extraordinary, beyond, outside of expectation... Along the way, we met their Uncle, his daughter, and later their Father. Finally, out of the blue, we met their Mom a vibrant and immediately inclusive way about her. During the few days we spent we found out more and more about what this family means to the community and could not help but appreciate the accomplishments they seem to thrive on creating and sharing. There is a real sense of hard work, near genius vision, love and an ability to laugh with unguarded ease.

The owner greeted us as we arrived. Was helpful in answering our questions and even provided coal (there was a propane grill too), lighter fluid, and Seasonings for our dinner that night. Beds were comfy. And, although the establishment has no a/c, the night (in mid-July) cooled down quickly and the provided fan was more than sufficient.

Mancos Inn and Hostel ligger i Mancos, 10 km från Mesa Verde National Park Visitor Center. Här erbjuds gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Wonderful inn that made us feel at home right away. The rooms were cosy and there is a very nice garden where you can sit and enjoy a drink in the evening. Mancos is also a very interesting town with lots of art. If I could design my ideal stay, this would be it! Highly recommend!

Had the cascade room which is the lower floor facing the Main Street. Surprisingly quiet. You can hear the upstairs people but not bad. Check in was via an envelope in the lobby. In the room was a nice homemade bread. Hot water took a bit to get warm. Bed was comfy.

Small friendly homely base for a couple of days skiing - only half an hour from the Mountain- superb hosts, Nothing was too much trouble. Beds super comfy and had everything we needed.
