As we arrived pretty late we had the opportunity to do a self check in after the check in time. The communication with the host was uncomplicated. The cabin itself was super comfortable, well equipped and really cozy. I can definitly recommend staying there. Me and my friends loved it!

What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.

DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS - They lead you to the middle of nowhere, miles from the place. Waze works, Apple's default works, just not, as usual, Google Maps.
