At the motel, the rooms come with a wardrobe. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. At Almara Inn, rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV.

What makes this place special is the people who run it. Roel and Tiffany are so welcoming that staying at the Almara is like staying with old friends. I'm coming to end of a roadtrip around North America, so have stayed in dozens of places. Nowhere else offered this level of service...homemade breakfast tacos, with strong coffee and great company. I look forward to coming back.

Typical motel breakfast. The milk was cold and the coffee was good and it was not flavored water.

This was one of the best motels we have ever stayed in. It was very clean and it looked as if everything had been updated. The owner should be very proud of this motel. I do not think we will find a better one on our travels.

The location was good, bed comfortable, for being an older motel we were very happy with it. The couple that own/run it were very attentive to our needs. Couldn't get the TV to work and he got it fixed. They went out of their way to make us happy. Icing on the cake was homemade burritos for breakfast and their hospitality was above and beyond. The motel is a work in progress. We were happy with the Route 66 feel.

If you want to stay in a fantastic retro motel, giving you a hint of the heyday of Route 66 traveling experience, this is the place for you. This motel dates from the 30's and is so well restored, you are just going to want to hang there and sit in you outside chairs chatting with your neighbors. Neon that works, individual car ports, chenille bedspreads, bakelite telephones, and the owners make a fine cup of coffee! The office has some lovely souvenirs to buy.

The owner!! She was very kind and helpful. I sadly learned 1st hand the pain of being a small business owner when swallowed by franchises. It's not the 1st small business I've purposefully stayed at, but the story is the same. These motels are very clean and accommodating for the traveler. If only there was a way to market them better. The room was good size and very clean.
