The 3 of us stayed in 2 units- one was the 2 bedroom apartment with a private deck and a hammock overlooking the Mekong where we spent most of our time.The other unit was close by and perfect for our friend.The apartment is great for a couple or a family and was very relaxing, clean and comfortable. The owners and the staff were wonderful.The food and variety of options were amazing..We stayed for 4 nights and other than a memorable visit to Wat Phou we decided to just hang around Champasak and enjoy Nakorn River View. It was a good decision!

Bontai Resort, Don Khon has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Ban Khon. The rooms include a patio with garden views. At the hotel, all rooms include a balcony with a lake view. Everything was perfect. We felt welcomed by the staff and everyone was genuinely kind and friendly. The wife of the owner is cooking absolutely amazing and we ate there every day. Free bike to ride around the island.

A cozy guest house run by the sweetest and most genuine family. They were able to arrange many things for us as well, like motorbike rentals, breakfast, and transportation. They were also very happy to give tips on where to go and what to do. I was even invited to join their family and friends for Laotian hot pot one evening. This was an experience you can’t even pay for. Their hospitality and concern for guests goes above and beyond.

Located in Pakse, a 11-minute walk from Pakse Bus station, Intouch Riverside Hotel provides accommodations with free bikes, free private parking and an outdoor swimming pool. The pool is cold! I have never swam in a cold pool in SEA, but theirs is cold! Wow! The hotel is modern and clean and very comfortable and the staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is large and varied and good. We took a mid trip rest here for a couple of days and basically just hung out swimming and eating and sitting in the cold AC room doing nothing. This was a great place for that. The location is set aside by the river but walking distance to market and cafes, etc. the small restaurant to the right where the woman makes soup in a hot pot is great!

Offering a restaurant, Pakse Hotel is set in a former cinema and casino, which is located 1.9 mi from Pakse International Airport. Free WiFi access is available in all areas. The breakfast buffet was small but gave a wide variety of options. I got to try some Laotian food I have never had. They also had western options. The sky bar was a nice way to end each night. In the room, the beds were big and soft! Lastly, the staff was friendly and helped us out as much as they could. Definitely staying here again when I visit Pakse.

Sala Done Khone Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Khonephapheng Waterfall. Offering modern accommodations, the hotel features a tour desk, pool and shuttle service. Don Khone is the place to be, if you're trying to decide. we almost stayed in Don Det, and I am so glad I spent a bit extra and came here. The village is lovely, the whole island is really nice to bike around, and Sala Done Khone is lovely. The AC works very well, the floating studios are lovely, and the breakfast is great and large. The other meals are also good at the restaurant, or there are plenty of options close by. They provide everything you need and the beds are super comfy! Thanks very much for a lovely stay. We didn't want to leave.
