Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Very helpful staff. 24hr restaurant underneath. Hostel has all you could need with kitchen, showers, chill room etc. About 20 min walk from bus station. There is a little supermarket close by.

GermanySharing the bathroom with regular guests of the restaurant was a bit strange. Separating at least the toilets would be a great idea. Otherwise you feel like spending a night in a restaurant.
It was a nice atmosphere in Rancho Grande. The staff was helpful and the facilities were cleaned frequently. There was a lot of space to eat, drink or simply to hang around.

PortugalGreat for starting the hikes but a bit far from the bus station and taxis are incredibly expensive for a 2min ride. Showers upstairs would overflow occasionally and would be nice to have curtains on the bunk beds.
Great vibes, we can meet a lot of people in the common areas upstairs. Nice restaurant open 24h and also a super nice bar with good pub food and craft beer. Kind staff who helped me move rooms mid reservation to stay with different people. Luggage storage is very helpful too.

Restaurant part of the hostel where you can order breakfast or dinner (huge portions!). Nice common area. Dorms were cleaned every day and in general quite clean.

BrazilKitchen are small and with very few ustensils, so not ideal to cook, especially during rush hours. Fridges were also packed and not so clean. My food was labeled as recommended, but some still got stolen, but this can happen in any hostel, particularly when they’re that big. The mattresses were a bit old and slouchy. Showers downstairs were shared with the restaurant restroom which really lacked privacy.
Good option in El Chaltén. Best asset is the staff, huge thanks to Fatima for all the tips and help provided. The rooms are clean, the common space with wifi noce to have, although pretty noisy with the restaurant downstairs. Location is good on one of the main streets : 20mn walking from the bus station, but only a few minutes away from the laguna de los tres trail.

United States of AmericaRoom had no place to hang or store clothes, no cupboard or drawers or hangars or anything. Vegetarian options are limited in restaurant; Breakfast closes at 10:30 though restaurant operates 24/7. Staff messed up our simple order for a veg sandwich for taking with us the next morning, but very good about fixing the problem quickly. The restaurant is also a communal space for travelers and pretty loud at most times, plus there is another restaurant in front. You could hear noise till wee hours of the morning.
Having a 24-hour restaurant is good. Having kitchen and refrigerator facilities was nice even as a private room guest. Nani at the front desk was extremely helpful. Location is great for the Mt Fitzroy hike.

FranceThe rooms were super confortable with large lockers, personal light and plugs. The Hostel is conveniently located near the beginning of the Fitz Roy trek. There is a restaurant and a really nice Brewery next to it where you get a 10% discount when you stay at the Hostel. Also I was able to change currency at the reception for a good price.

United States of AmericaThere was confusion over when food was served. We were told at checkin breakfast was available from 1am to 10am and the hostel sign says food 24 hours a day. However on our 2 big hiking days we were delayed as we were refused any food service one morning until 7am and offered only continental before 7am. Management corrected this on our last day but would not credit us being double charged for the breakfasts. Better training of the restaurant staff is needed as this was high season.
The hostel is in a fantastic location near the Laguna Los Tres trailhead. The rooms were small but comfortable with ample storage. The food was delicious!! The restaurant was always packed with people. The cleaning staff were always at work and very friendly.
