To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

United KingdomI thought the place was great value - though I didn't have it breakfast was available at a reasonable extra cost. I cooked for myself most nights and there were multiple supermarkets within a short distance of the venue. I did some hill walking whilst there - all very easy to get to. Scenery stunning

United States of AmericaThe room was pretty basic and there was not any soap or sponges to clean the dishes. It was also missing a few other basic items. However, it was not a big deal.
This farm/ hotel was above expectations. Such good value to stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable and the hosts were very nice. They helped with all requests. There was a place even for skis and it was close to the train to Kitzbuhel.

GermanyThe Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in our room and we would have trouble getting a connection.
I still can't believe the value that we got from staying at Binderhof. We stayed in a small studio with a private bathroom, fridge and kitchenette, fully stocked with plates, pots and pans etc. The room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Binderhof is run by a family who were extremely friendly. They can communicate in English, but were very willing to humour my poor attempts at German! The breakfast was an additional 7 EUR per day and was plentiful, including nice bread, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt and hard-boiled eggs. The location was great and allowed us to easily access the local ski slopes. I would 100% return if I am ever back in the region.

GermanyRoom was next to the street. When you open the windows, we can hear car noise.
Location was excellent ! We took train from Germany and just 5 mins from train station. Restaurants, supermarket are nearby. Family of owner was so friendly.. We would recommend for family. Accommodation has animals and small playground and kids friendly.

Hungarythe beds are very comfortable and everything is super clean, tidy and spacious! the wooden furniture is also beautiful and the kitchen on the top floor is well equipped. we also loved the animals in and around the house, they were very cute :) the different types of jam and honey for breakfast were especially delicious. we are really grateful for Angela who was very kind and helpful with everything, and the kids were also lovely :) the location is great! it can be noisy sometimes by open windows, but it wasn't so disturbing for us (we just closed the windows when it became too loud) overall we had an amazing time at Binderhof, we would have happily stayed longer!
