Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Parking procedure quite confusing. At check-in we were told special rate would apply to us. At checkout receptionist excused herself with malfunctioning payment terminal and directed us to pay full price at the parking cashier.
High-end furniture and appliances, lovely location, room looking at the small central park with lot's of birds nicely singing, The tower of Linzer Mariendom visble at a distance.

The only but very important thing: the bed’s feder decke was too small. With two people in bed yanking the covers from side to side was not fun. The feather comforter needs to be much WIDER in order to cover two bodies, even for normal sized people like we are.
Excellent location, great restaurant, courteous staff, great parking. Quiet.

Optional breakfast quite pricey. at least coffee should have been free of charge.
Good value for money, and good location...3min walk from city center. Parking on site. Clean, no thrill business hotel. Family room was surprisingly spacious.

Check out- a very very long wait, we were told that is cheaper to pay the parking at the reception ,as they have a discount. So we waited ...and waited.. In the room: a system of shelfs made of glass, very dangerously placed. Why not a closet? All my cloths on racks? That's a non-sense!
Check inn process was excellent. We arrived on Christmas evening and received very good cookies as a gift. Breakfast was excellent.

The bathroom floor gets very wet after a shower, so be careful. Other than that the room was great!
The secure parking garage, good location for the Christmas markets and restaurants, and comfortable beds.

The street that the hotel is on was a bit loud.
Within an easy walk of everything you want to see in town. Clean, modern, generally met all of our needs. From back side of the building you have a nice view over the park.

We really liked that the hotel was close to the city center, it is also possible to walk to the central train station or use the tram, which is a couple minutes away. Bathroom was very spacious and clean, beds comfortable. We appreciated, that even though the hotel is situated on a busy street, inside of the room was very quiet. It was pretty clean, staff was friendly. Nice for a weekend getaway.

The bed has only one blanket which is not particularly large. We probably were there on a crowded days, because there were queues everywhere - we waited around 20 minutes in a queue to check-in, then next day there was not enough space to sit on a breakfast and the corner with a breakfast buffet was tiny and overcrowded, so more lines there, and then when you want a coffee there is another line. My wife took a coffe mug with red lipstick on it from the shelf with clean mugs which I consider a really bad transgression :-( There was not a lot of staff during breakfast and those who were there were quite busy so we did not even have anyone to complain right on the spot. Overall there should be more staff, more coffe machines, better organization for seating people during breakfast. The equpiment of the hotel was OK although it did not feel particularly "cozy". That said I expected a little more from a 4* hotel in the center of one of the largest Austrian cities, however the I must admit the price was reasonable.
The location is great, the staff was nice and friendly.
