Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

For a Hostel, I wasn’t expecting super fancy, but the room felt a little unsettling and the curtain wouldn’t completely close, so the light came in anyway. The fridges were all completely full and there was a lot of noise at night because there is no isolation.
Everyone was very helpful and nice and they told us so many tips about what we could do around Albany. We had everything we needed and my girlfriend told me the ladies bathroom was clean and the pancake breakfast was ok.

Not the best maintained place, some mouldy smell in the room, the kitchen could be cleaner, sound isolation is non existent
It's located near everything you need, and the pancakes for breakfast were really good, and the parking comes in handy

Over half the female showers were broken, and the long term folks take up ALL the space. There were 4 of 8 beds filled in my room when I arrived, and there was NO space for any of my belongings.
Lots of good hangout space and great pancake breakfast!

Ahhh the rooms was a little smelly. Very cramped as well. also the gang of people sitting out the front smoking was very intimidating but that probably says more about me than the establishment LOL shoulda just said waddup aye.
I liked that I had a place to sleep in the middle of town. That was nice. Was cheap too! uhhhhhh also the pancakes in the morning yum yum for my tum that was good. Check in was chill and it was quite easy.

Bathroom/toilet facilities 3rd world. Other guests noisey until late. Was afterall a back[ackers not expensive accomodation but for price not worth it.

Terrible mattress No cutlery in the kitchen! Not equipped well Pantry is a bit smelly, lots of flies from old food Fridge bottles checked regularly (super old food)

I didnt like that the pictures shown of my room were not even close to what i received. The room looked nothing like the beautiful picture on their website. Thankfully i had a comfortable sleep but the room was old and shabby wth linnen to match and the room had a funny, not nice smell. In all i was disappointed because it was falsely advertised. I understand its a backpacker facility, so advertise it honestly as it is. It wasnt totally bad, but i was disappointed.
I liked that its in the town centre and for a back packets it wasn't too roudy.

The location is great not sure, There too much to do if you stay more than one night, though there seemed to be a lot of backpackers living there looking for work.

Felt like a social hub with loud characters before you enter the property. Bedding didn’t feel clean. Very loud and noisy but does settle down. No access to kitchen outside certain hours.

I really didn't enjoy the kitchen vibes. It was cramped, hard to find cooking equipment and just lacked any flow. The kitchen could use a re-vamp! People were noisy all through the night not respecting others sleeping. Perhaps some stricter rules around quiet times overnight. My room lacked lockers or storage.

Hostel is pretty basic so would say it’s over priced, kitchen was small with not many utensils and not many showers for the amount of people that stay there, also hot water was variable
Location very central to Albany, nice free breakfast provided, staff helpful and dorms were large.

Hopeless unclean kitchen with no cups and plates to eat. Hell a lot of garbage utensils of no use. No cups to drink coffee . Unclean smelly floor. Asking money to rent plates and cups. Ridiculous management. , They have nothing to do with cleanliness and comfort. The manager only chit chat and makes backpacker friends and living without any supervision. They force you to strip bedsheets and linon prior to departure else they won't pay back the deposit for the keys. They can't force customers Overall horrible backpackers with no plates and crockery in the kitchen
