Early check in and voucher for breakfast that I was not expecting. Helpful staff and great breakfast. Room was very quiet. Great towels. Undercover parking across the street that I paid $15.00 for and it was easy to access the car park. Would recommend for a short break in Newcastle. Very close to Bar and Merewether.

Given that we had a 2 night stay, so of course a couple of showers each: The lack of somewhere for 2 bathtowels to dry (or the bathmat given that the short shower screen meant it was dificult to prevent the floor becoming very wet). There was only a wall hook & very short towel rail above the toilet which would only accomodate a folded towel. Along the same lines, there was the tiniest of short hanging spaces for clothing (not long enough to hang a pair of trousers or skirt). Whilst these little things would certainly not deter us from staying again, they are practicalities that could easily be addressed eg. a portable clothes rail.

Staff were fantastic, very friendly and personable. Location was great as surrounded by popular cafes, in a nice area and within walking distance to beach. The meals we had at Junction Hotel were beautiful. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable.

The only thing I think could do with improving is the accessway to the upstairs rooms. The corridor takes you straight past the kitchen into a not-so-nice part of the hotel.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the function we were attending. The interiors are much better than the exterior suggests. The rooms have been recently refurbished in a modern style and were very comfortable and appealing. The bed was great. The breakfast in the downstairs bar area was excellent. There are a few other cafes, shops, and eateries located in walking distance.

One staff member was very rude regarding room not being ready for check in. Manager stepped in and offered a different room, thankfully, as rooms were still being cleaned at 4:30pm.

The room was lush and swanky, families were easily accessible and secure parking was handy.

There was no hand soap in the sink soap dispensers in the bathroom.

Breakfast only on Saturday and Sunday, and I was there on a Monday. The pub is modern and very chic. They seem to have an impressive selection of wines from the Hunter region… so if you’re after a good drop maybe consider this place in Newcastle. The food and restaurant are also top notch. I had breakfast the last time I stayed there. But the dinner meal was also of a quality nature, and I’d go back and stay just to dine again.
