The bed was a little soft for my liking and the kitchen was well equipped but there were no power points actually in the kitchen for appliances except behind the microwave which you couldn’t get to or high on the wall with fridge and air conditioner plugged into. Alarm went off , not sure what for but unable to contact staff as had no phone coverage or internet.

No hand towels, bath mat or wash cloth. Advertised as luxury but very old furniture, uncomfortable bed that bowed in middle, one rubbish bag and a tiny piece of chux to clean up to leave kitchen as it was or be charged $50.

While the rooms had fantastic views it was not quite the penthouse experience we were expecting. The bathroom facilities were mediocre. There were no laundry facilities available.

The view of the water from our unit was minimal due the tree growth, wifi was difficult to pick up from our unit, there wasn’t a sharp knife in the kitchen for meal preparation, the noise of the flushing loo and heavy foot traffic from the unit above was annoying and I didn’t feel at all welcomed by all the threats of extra fees if I didn’t strip the bed, sweep the floor or take out the bins at the end of our stay. That tone put me off from the start. I feel like I paid luxury price for budget accommodation to be honest.

The location to the pub and the gardens were lovely.

I fail to see how this place is 4 star. It is small noisy and overpriced. The person upstairs was quite but we heard showerng and everytime some used the toilet and flushed it. 😪

Very limited kitchenette suitable only for easy prepsrations and no dishwasher.

Slightly ecclectic lodge with a mix of styles. It had a great comfy bed and suited a short stay. Loved the location and could glimpse the water. Also an easy walk to the pub for dinner and water.

no on-site management. only 2 bath towels provided. No pool towels. I did message the manager Troy who very quickly came & provided extra towels. no laundry. bathroom/bedroom all in one no aircon in lounge area

the location is terrific. Up on a hill capturing cool sea breezes. just a short walk down to the beach where there's a board walk, BBQ facilities & children play area. the local pub is also close by & serves amazing meals over looking the ocean & is dog friendly. lovely Balinese style with timber furniture

POOL HAD SEDIMENT/DIRT ON THE BOTTOM AND LOOKED AS THOUGH NOT CLEANED. NO POWER POINTS IN THE KITCHEN TO PLUG IN TOASTER/KETTLE. VERY LIMITED CROCKERY, EVEN FOR 2 PEOPLE. TV HAD ODD 2 SWITCHES, ONE OF WHICH LOOKED LIKE A LIGHT SWITCH WITH NO INSTRUCTION THEY BOTH HAD TO BE ON.

NICE VIEW BUT SOMEWHAT SPOILED BY THE TREES. THE BROCHURE/BOOKING INDICATED FULL OCEAN VIEWS. NICE FIXTURES.

Description written by the owner of the "Java suite" was far from the truth. I didnt feel as though i was in Java at all. It wasn't luxurious or clean & had no privacy. The only view we had was the other guest's cars parked a foot from our front door. Cheap and mismatched decor. Smashed clock on the wall was an extra touch of luxury. All but 1 shelf missing in the fridge, had to stack stuff 6 high. Months worth of spiders and webs behind the bed that had to be sprayed. Couldn't sit outside due to cars parked right there, felt like we were intruders in someone else's garage. Should have read the reviews before booking. Do not waste your money. 1770 is a beautiful place, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.
