Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The decor was beautiful and it was comfortable, clean, quiet and in a very good location. We were in a disabled room which had two toilets and this came in very handy. The reception staff were super helpful and lovely. The breakfast was off a good standard.

Nothing, all was well.
This is a lovely hotel. The lady at reception (sorry, I forgot her name) was most helpful during check-in. She gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were nice. Breakfast was well organized with a good variety of choices. The location was perfect as it only took a couple of minutes to walk to the main square.

Nothing. This was our favorite hotel out of the 4 we booked for a 3 country 12 day European vacation. I only have good things to say about this place!
Very nice, boutique like hotel, very clean, and comfortable beds. The breakfast was awesome! I highly recommend getting the breakfast. The location was excellent, right by the city center.

Hotel is very close to the main sightseeing market place. All facilities were good.Nearby Free shuttle service to bruge Station and market place is a bonus.

Wonderful hotel 5 minutes from centre of Bruges. Staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection to choose from.

Welcome upon arrival was really nice and reception team provided us a lot of great information about the surrounding area and top sights. The family suite was clean and well cared for. Location was central and convenient.

We absolutely loved this gem of a hotel. Our room was beautiful, comfy bed, loved the L'occitane products in the bathroom. . Breakfast was amazing. Fab selection. The staff were also so helpful & friendly. Hotel within short walk to centre. Hotel also near free shuttle bus to train station. We absolutely loved our stay. Will definitely be back

Parking can be tight but it's OK. Our room was in an annexe near the hotel, this wasn't really a problem though

Very pricey.

The hotel staff was super nice and responsive to all our questions before we even came. We traveled with a baby, so cleanness was highly important and the room was absolutely bright and clean. The location is also very cool - close to all the sightseeing places but at the same time it's in a quiet place so you can have good rest.

Superior room just enough to swing a cat A walk-in shower would be preferred rather than a bathtub.
Great location and very, very helpful staff. Breakfast had a great selection of everything you would want. Generous en-suite with Villeroy&Boch fixtures gives it the luxury feeling.

this hotel is in a super location . The reception team are very efficient , helpful and have a great sense of humour ! the food and drinks were really good standard and also very well priced .We loved our stay !

There was only 1 plug near the bed to charge 1 phone at a time.
Perfect location just off the main square. Close to public car park. Breakfast was worth the money. Excellent quality and large choice of food. Room was clean, tidy and had a good selection of toiletries, mini bar and hot drinks. The bed was very comfy Room had air conditioning.
