The warmth, generosity and desire of the staff to make us welcome and cared for is unbeatable and unforgettable. The location overlooking the bend of the river is great. Breakfast was served efficiently and with love. It was sumptuous and included eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, Bulgarian yougurt and Benitza.

The wifi was a little strange with two different routers to check into depending on where we were in the room/balcony. I think that is because our big room used to be two and had been knocked together (in a extremely well done way). Once we had a signal the power was fine allowing us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline!

The room we had, an upper floor one with a big balcony, was wonderful. The view was great - albeit there is a gross old communist concrete hotel (now closed) across the valley - and we loved sitting on it after days out and about and before dinner. The breakfast service was exceptional with plate after plate materialising and the food/drink was good. The road is very quaint and quiet although taxis don't like coming all the way to the door but as we are fit it was no problem trundling our bags up the road after the taxi from the train stn..

Such a quaint hotel overlooking the river. I loved everything about it. The tavern attached is so convenient and the staff is so kind and attentive. On a quiet street but close to everything. Absolutely perfect.

Beautiful building with a great view over the city, located in a nice and quiet area. Large, clean and confortable rooms. Very good breakfast with fresh home made pastry, eggs and pretty much everything you need. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking available - 6 parking lots inside and a few others just in front of the hotel.

Everything was above and beyond what we expected. Great value for money. We would do our visiting of the sights at the same time looking for a place to have a drink or a meal and end up coming back to the hotel. It’s simply the best place in town!

Navigation might not offer you the best route to rich the property. Strongly recommend to look over a little bit on the map and find the proper way to get to the property. Mattress - too soft. Don't recommend if you have back pain.

Nice view, very friendly staff( waited for us quite late in the night), offered to put the car in the garage, breakfast good, good value for the money. I needed an invoice for my company and was very simple too.

There is nothing to complain about. Just to have in mind that the parking is small but you have where to park your car near the hotel, in a safe spot.

Gurko Hotel is located on a popular street with traditional buildings, nice view from our room. The personal is friendly. Breakfast was tasty and sufficient (egs, fryits, ham, chees, vegetables, butter, jam, juice, coffee), you have where to choose Our room was big and clean.

Wonderful place in the old City, fantastic atmosphere! Owners are verify polite, friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony with beautiful panoramic view - it was amazing! Room was spacious and sparkling clean! Definitely will visit again!
