Superb view, you can see the lake and alps through the window. Room is very spacious for solo traveller. Very clean place and very at home feels. No lift, you need to carry your luggage.

The view of the lake from the hostel was the best in my trip to Switzerland. The price was also very affordable making it the best deal in town. There was also a free guest card which allowed us to travel to Interlaken by Bus for free. There was a common kitchen with free coffee and tea available too.

Super nice location, where you can wake up to amazing views of the lake and mountains. Area is really safe and peaceful. Everything was clean within the whole accommodatio . Hassle free check in/out. Staff were great. There’s kitchen where you heat your food up and make your own coffee/tea for free. Recommended for groups of friends or family. Rooms are very basic though but very clean and already made up as soon as you arrive; beds/pillows are comfortable for a good night’s sleep; you have your own sink in the room. Although shower and toilet are outside the rooms and shared, they are really clean and well-heated so really good for winter times. The only thing is there are no towels provided but you can rent them at CHF2 each. Better bring your own towels :) All in all, we loved our stay. Place is not for those who like fancy places. This place is basic but well maintained and you can see the owners value their guests.

Not a drawback, but make sure to bring your food with you as there isn't much in the town - at least in December. It's about a 20 or 30 minute (beautiful!) bus ride to Interlaken. Showers were fine - old-time, hostel-like.

We loved the beautiful rustic lakeside location in the charming Swiss town! The outdoor firepit was a lovely bonus and we used it both nights we were there. It was so quiet and peaceful and a nice change from the busy cities. We were there in December which was gorgeous, but would like to return during a warmer time to take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. (Bunk)beds were comfy with nice linens and the hostel was plenty warm. Also, make sure to check out the cheese vending machine up the road.

Just a gem!! The shared facilities were always clean, and it did not feel like you had to compete for the shared bathroom facilities, which were really good. The kitchen was also awesome! Had everything you needed with quite a few "freebies" available. The views and sights from the accommodation of Iseltwald is just amazing! Iseltwald is a stunning place. Just beyond gorgeous!!

No comment about the property itself. I was just a bit disappointed of the guest who also stayed there especially during our second night. The guests who just check in late at night were so noisy, it was around 11pm to 1am. You can see to the hotel that it was made of wood so whenever you walk it will create a creek sound which everyone in the same floor can hear, even when you talk or snore at night. Those people that night were inconsiderate of others who were already sleeping.

The location of the hotel was just a few minutes walk from the CLOY filming spot. The staff was very nice and friendly. The communal area was clean. There was a kettle, a microwave, a refrigerator to store your own food. There was also free coffee and tea. The view from the balcony of our room was magnificent. We stayed at the 3rd floor. The common toilet was also clean. The hostel will also give you a free interlaken pass, it is a free ride to all interlaken areas. We will surely come back and stay in this hotel. 100% Recommended ✅

Maybe a toaster would help in the common kitchen space and the rooms are a little dark so extra lighting would be a plus. There are no buses after 8.05 so travel could get a lil tricky then.

Beautiful location - right opposite the lake. The most convenient was the bus service to interlaken ost. That ensured that staying in Iseltwald was smooth since all our trains and crusade stayed from there. We were a group of 6 and we got the entire room to ourselves. And although we didn’t have a private bathroom, it wasn’t inconvenient. The staff was really friendly - smooth check in and check out process and they arranged the travel passes for us.

Nothing special, maybe better equip the kitchen with hot plates or something to cook.

We spent 1 night here as a family of 8 adults (2 rooms of 4 - Mountain View). The rooms are quite small but comfortable, 2 bunk beds for 4 people, we had to male the bed ourselves, the mattress were comfy, good sleep overall. There is a sink and mirror inside the room so we can brush our teeth in the morning. It was quite noisy during the evening since people were chatting and moving a lot in the corridor, between rooms etc. but after 11pm it became a lot more silent. There was no towel in the room, if we'd like to have a bath we had to rent one (2-3CHF each). 1 shared bathroom per floor which is clean overall and convenient, around 4 cabins per bathroom, with separate 2 WC aside. The ground floor is composed of a large dinner room with a basic kitchen, there was no hot plates so we couldn't cook, but there was a large fridge, a microwave, a boiler and plates, cups and other utensils. Tables in the dining room were of different sizes and large enough for our group of 8 people, inside and outside. The parking lot is big and has enough spaces for all types of car except maybe camping car (ours is a mini-van). Overall, I would say that this hostel equipments are quite rudimentary, but the highlight is the location itself and the excellent value for money. It's located directly in front of the lake and inside the Iseltwald village (5mn walking to the harbour), a little bit behind the center so there was not many people passing by. We could enjoy the lake and mountain view quietly in the morning. The rooms are not expensive at all compared to other places around, we paid 320€ one night for 8 people in September, for this price it's almost impossible to find a stay as central in Iseltwald as this one. However I recommend to be more than 2 people (ideally 4) to be able to book the whole room for more privacy.
