Only reason I gave this place a 9 and not a 10 is the animal carcasses displayed in the lobby. A sore sight for animal lovers.

Very kind and accommodating receptionist who went out of her way to provide us with a last-minute meal as we hadn't found anywhere we could eat that night. Warm, cosy room with comfortable beds and tea-making facilities. Even though shared, the bathrooms were very clean.

Just the usual limitations of a very small town, which wouldn't have suited me if I'd been staying longer. Food was good but not extraordinary.

This was a fun stay - it is located about a restaurant that gets quite busy in the evenings, but despite the activity the rooms are well insulated from the noise and are quite peaceful. It felt like getting a true taste of local life, and had a home comfort vibe in a nice village, where I was woken up by cow bells from a passing herd. Well positioned for an overnight stay on an alpine roadtrip. Standard Swiss breakfast with cheese, meats, breads, yogurt, juice, and coffee.

I liked location it's very close to train station. The room was warm and tiny sweet. I didnt like the sound as I think the walls were to thin. Everything was heard from nearby rooms. But it's good price for location

This is a traditional Swiss "pub" style accommodation. Basic room, shared bathroom, creaky floors. But you have a restaurant, bar and friendly staff. Good for a night after we had ridden the famous 3 mountain passes - this is directly on the junction of the Grimsel and Susten. Small village mainly a few more of these type of hotels popular with bikers. Parking opposite the hotel.

The blankets and pillow cases weren’t as soft as we would have liked. The entry to upstairs was through the bar restaurant area which was a little strange, a side entrance would have been better.

Location was great for where we were visiting. Beautiful scenery. Breakfast was basic breads, cheese and jelly’s. Staff was very friendly and accommodating

The shared toilets and showers even thought they were always clean and spot on but It would have been better of the hotel had private bathrooms in every room. Also if you book an individual room, you'll get a 1 person bed instead of a big bed. The hotel have wooden floors and they were squeaky everytime anyone walk to the bathroom. But other than that it was a nice stay.

could be better cleaned, the cupboards had dust layer, it was way too hot in the rooms. I was unable to keep the windows open as it was flapping in the wind.

Excellent, quiet location with nice breakfast and friendly staff. The food you can order at the restaurant is excellent and delicious. Free parking is nice as well, right across the street from the hotel. I also liked their pub and the woman working there, she's very kind. The bathrooms and showers are clean and the water is nice and warm.

The noise cancellation here is non-existent. You can hear everyth about the convo happening next door and also the floor squeaks when you walk. Would prefer thicker sheets in the winter

Breakfast was good. It is cosy and you have a tap in the room for quick wash up. Toilets, although shared, was big and clean. By the mountain and stream - superb view.

A minor inconvenience is the shared bathroom, but clean and spacious.

Pleasant guesthouse for overnight stays on the road. Tasty restaurant. In the surroundings a large number of activities. With visitor card there are many attractions at a discount, free local trains.

Creaking floorboards around the hotel (it's obviosly a very old building so this probably cant be helped). Only one bathroom with two showers (okay if you're a couple. Not so good if you're five sweaty bikers all fighting for a shower). It does have a seperate toilet.

Very friendly staff. Food available at a reasonable price (for Switzerland). Great location for access to the passes. We parked our moorbikes across the road of the hotel which seemed secure enough.
