Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BruneiEven though we are staying at the non-smoking zone however there are times we can still smell cigarettes along the hallway.
The hotel is within 1 to 2 minutes walk from the nearest subway station - TuanJieHu, using exit B. Overall, it is a clean place. There is a convenience store nearby which is good if you need to grab some quick food. It is a walking distance to Taikoo Li Sanlitun, a shopping area.

United KingdomOften a smell of smoke, as though someone was smoking within the hotel and the staff didn’t speak English
The property was in a good location, right next to a subway line. The rooms were a good size, AC was good and beds were very comfortable

United KingdomWiFi was a bit slow.
Location: the hotel is quite close to a metro station -- which is always convenient --, and mostly easy to find. The room is large and the bathroom was cleaned and with a new look. The facilities seem to be well-maintained. The staff didn't speak English (or barely) but was courteous, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. I would say that it's a good value for money and overall I had a good stay.

RussiaThe exterior of the building is not so modern as the interior. Thus, we heard the street noise in the night even though closed windows. Is not a problem if you’re dead tired was we were. The breakfast was fully local cuisine, so don’t expect coffee machine and do expect a lot of salads/vegetables, dumplings and so on. This could be an issue if you prefer light breakfast/bakery/diary meal. The personnel didn’t speak English.
The place is indeed near the subway station. Interior looked fresh and great.

GermanyThe only thing missing at the breakfast buffet was actual coffee. They only provided instant Nestlé powder. Still, this is only a small point in an otherwise really good hotel experience.
I had a really quiet and clean room and slept very well. The hotel is located away from the main street, behind a parking lot area which makes it quiet. Good breakfast buffet and friendly staff.

UzbekistanBreakfast should have more choices, add coffee machine as the coffee was terrible. Also the breakfast time is from 7-9 am, if you come at 8.50 - almost every food is finished, and at 9am staff begin to remove everything noisily while people still eating. So better to come for breakfast earlier
Good staff, nice location (but difficult to find from the first time), warm in winter, good shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Cleaning every day.

Netherlands- The breakfast is good but not western (don't expect bread), so we went to a nearby bakery every morning. - The staff does not speak English but they were patient with us and very willing to help. - Wifi is slow. - The hallway can be a little noisy.
- The hotel has a perfect location, right next to the subway station. Also, when crossing the road there is a small food court area nearby, where we went very often for a bite and a coffee. - The room was decent, clean and spacious enough for the two of us. - Even though the hotel is very close to the busy road we did not hear any traffic at all from our room and slept very comfortably. - A lot of food options in the area.

ArgentinaThe breakfast service is not foreign friendly, it only has Chinese stuff. The location, despite the hotel is not close the touristic attractions, is very convenient because you have the subway entrance just in front of the hotel. The staff is not foreign friendly as well. They don’t speak a word in English and they don’t even try to help, they also are disrespectful when you try to ask them for any advice or help to book in a Chinese website.
The facilities are perfect for the price. Big room, clean spaces, laundry available.

FranceHotel was clean overall but not spotless. Rooms are cleaned daily but you shouldn't expect every corner to be spotless. But the bedsheets, towels are changed daily. Breakfast is noisy, crowded and choice is limited. Instant coffee, no sugar available. Also breakfast is only served between 7am and 9am. At 8:55 they start to turning off and taking away everything. But it is really cheap, 20RMB per person, 10RMB if you're shorter than 1.3m.
The location was perfect, literally 100m from Beijing Subway. It is at walking distance from SanLiTun, Chaoyang Park. Capital Airport is only 45min away if you use the Subway.

UkraineNot easy to find. I followed gps and when I went from the road through the arc in the end there was a door with an automatic lock which you can only open with the hotel card. There was a phone number of the front desk though... But took me a while to figure it out, otherwise I'd have to walk around the block and enter from the side of another road. And the breakfast was so-so. Just some Chinese essentials + instant coffee/tea bags👎 If I knew I'd plan to go out
The staff were helpful. I accidentally booked a room without a window and they changed it for free when I was checking in. Simple, neat environment. Didn't have any noise issues

SingaporeThough it's a non-smoking building, the disturbing cigarette smell is strong inside the room and corridor. Mosquitos inside the room, can hardly sleep well at night. No effective action from staff regarding this. Many steps in single level, poor accessibility.
