The buffet breakfast i paid for was a waste of money because nearly every meal had pork in it which i cannot eat.

I liked the location and the entry was very pretty. The staff we're also helpful. Probably the only helpful people i met whilst in china.

Love the location. Faces the Xihu, so if you picked the room with Xihu view, it's lovely from late morning when it's bright and not misty (although there's slight blockage from my room at 5th floor) Shopping area is just 5mins walk, right behind the hotel area. Food at 28 Hubing right at the lobby is good.

A number of staff can't speak nor understand English and service at the tea cafe Lobby area was not up to standard.

Only the other clientele....it was a weekend and so the hotel was full and the people that stayed there were rude and pushy. This isn't the hotel's fault, of course....just the nature of being one of the best hotels in a weekend destination. Otherwise, everything was fantastic.

The location is the best....right on the lake. The views over the lake are fantastic, especially at sunset. The gym was very nice and was 24 hours open. I was given club lounge access and the food there was very nice and sufficient to keep me going all day. The wine bar was especially nice. The service was great...very helpful staff always going out of their way to assist. Overall, I had a wonderful weekend stay with perfect weather, great views and a healthy time. I worked out, jogged on the lake, and ate well. The room was very comfortable and I slept well in the large bed.

The food served at the Chinese restaurant in the hotel was not tasty, but expensive.

excellent location, very convenient to nearby restaurants, shopping malls, and subways. The room is facing the west lake. The staffs are friendly.

The pool is fine for children but not so good for exercising

We couldn’t resist a very reasonable upgrade to give us lounge access. We then spent our days hiking around the sights and our evenings tired but relaxed in the comfort of the lounge.

Breakfast was wonderful! Lots of choices including Western and Chinese foods. My only complaint was that it was not included in the room price and seemed a little expensive (close to $30 USD).

Service was not good - almost no staff spoke english. For a 5 star hotel this is strange - concierge couldnt give the most basic instructions, the waiter at the hotel steakhouse could barely take an order. Spa receptionist didnt speak a word. Doormen didnt say goodevening or good morning etc. Not a 5 star experience No openable window in the room and air conditioning not good.

It is an old hotel and the windows in the hotel facing the lake were small and blocked by trees. We paid a premium for a room facing the lake but we did not see much of the lake. One is better served to get a cheaper room and just walk out to see the lake. The pillows provided were either too soft or too hard. We did not get a decent sleep for staying there for two nights.

The location is great right by the lake and you are in all the activities surrounding the lake. The food services in the Executive Lounge was pretty good.

Very stylish hotel. We enjoyed very much. Nice and very friendly staff helped very good to use the by App rental bicycles (public not hotel). Breakfast was our best in China.
