To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

BelgiumIt's not in the very city center, so for some people who want to just be a few steps away from cafes, restaurants and shops it wouldn't be ideal.
The location was ideal for us: If you are going with family or friends and are planning to spend some time at the property and in the garden, cook, play or party, it's ideal. It's still very close from FIlandia, 15 min walking, 5 by car. The garden is even better than what it looks like in the pictures! and you'll wake up hearing the birds singing! The breakfast was amazing, probably the best we've had in Colombia, and the time we spent with the owner, and employees was great. Thanks Gustavo and Marina for the great time!

Don Gustavo is an amazing host. Thenfacilities are quaint, the lodging comfortable. The breakfast was always ready when we were up and it was nice colombian cuisine. I really liked the hotnshowers since is a somewhat cold mountainous environment. But honestly don Gustavo and his friendliness made it worth every coloombian peso. He also offers to drive you up to the town of Filandia and pick you up.

The hospitality of Gus really makes this place exceptional. He really makes sure that you are comfortable and that your needs are taken care of. He offers rides into town with his own car. He asks questions to make sure all your needs are taken care of. The place was clean and comfortable. It is a little outside of the downtown so it is quiet but not so far that you couldn't walk (although town is up a hill but easy to come back to). The lady that helps him is also very friendly and kind. Check in and check out were really easy. Thank you for a great stay!

ColombiaDon Gustavo was fantastic, really keen to make sure our stay was a great one. It was my wifes mothers birthday and the hotel organised a special birthday breakfast and decorations for her. Was just one night this first trip but we will be back again soon!
