Lots to like about the hostel, great layout, lots of spaces to hang out etc and enough mangos to overdose 50 times over. Lovely and green too 😍.

Nothing, it was great

Really spacious room and we even had our own outdoor kitchnette right outside our room which was really useful. Our en suite bathroom was also really cool: half indoor/half outdoor with a huge tree in the middle of it! It was nice to be able to use the swimming pool at the hostel to cool off after going on local walks and exploring the lovely town of Barichara.

Lacks of cleanliness, the place has so much potential but, besides from the dorm which was very clean, the common areas are not very well maintained. Kitchen is very basic, I wanted to use it but I changed my mind…

Location was perfect, far enough from the noises of the town center but still a walking distance from everything. The place itself is very chill !

Some beds in the dorm make quite some noise if you move.

Very nice garden with plenty of space to relax and a great view from the terrace. When I was there they fixed the hot water system so on my last night I could take a hot shower.

There isn't anything I didn't like.

When I first booked at Tinto Hostel, I was in the process of looking for a tranquil and quiet place to stay for the last month of my 9-month journey abroad. After spending two nights in Barichara and at Tinto Hostel, I knew I had landed in the perfect spot. I ended up extending my stay from 2 nights to almost a full month. The hostel is surrounded by rich greenery which made it all that more relaxing and rejuvenating. I felt I was sleeping in a beautiful garden yet, the dorm room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were also much bigger than any dorm room that I'd stayed in throughout my journey in Colombia. The location was perfect and close to everything. The town of Barichara itself, was absolutely stunning. The cost was extremely affordable. The owner Javier and his staff were wonderful and a delight to be around. Javier upon arrival, provided everyone with a map of the town and recommended the best places to eat, shop, and sites to see. Javier was always available for anything guests needed and was always helpful in any way possible. Javier is an exceptional host and I will miss him and his staff greatly.

not the cleanest hostel (due to its rustic architecture), no indoor communal room, no hot water and low water pressure in the shared shower, very thin toilet paper :-)

hostel consists of multiple houses in a garden, communal terrace with comfortable armchairs overlooking the village, free coffee and mangoes in the communal kitchen, swimming pool, located only two blocks from the village center, best restaurant for local food (El Compa) just around the corner, spacious dorm room with only 4 beds, comfortable matress, strong wifi, good value

Not enough communal bathrooms

Javier is a friendly and attentive host who runs a great hostel. The views are amazing, comfortable beds, lockers the kitchen is well equipped, different bins for organic waste etc. I stayed two days but wish I could have stayed longer. Barichara is a cute town

We arrived early in the hostel ( around 9) we had a long nightbus and were very tired, the owner invited us to relax in the hamacs. A half houre later he told us he had a room free for us to sleep a bit, even when the check in was at 14h. He even gave us an upgraded room. This was excepcional. The hostel was soo beautifull full with exotic plants and orange tree. We could relax in the pool. The village was extraordinarly beautiful. Some say the most beautifull in Colombia, the experience was perfect. Thank you to Tinto hostal and its staff.

Great place, the rooms are big, it was quiet when I got there which was good for me, but I guess it can be more lively sometimes. A lot of trees, hammocks, cats... I liked it !

The bathroom needs some serious update, there is no water for shower neither in the sink, I mean only few drops and one of the day I was taking shower the drops stopped in the middle of the process, and on the top of that the water is cold, which is really hard to Barichara weather, so I needed to make sure that I took shower during the day.

Tinto is a type of hostel I could stay i. For weeks, just enjoying the hostel itself, there is a varanda so you can enjoy the sunrise along to your cup of coffee. The open kitchen is very practical. There's a small pool amd a hammock area, and the top of that a lot of sitting areas around it, birds chirping. I had to extend my stay to enjoy the place. Javier was always around taking care of the gate and willing to help us.

This hostel was the best during my one month stay in Colombia! The location is perfect, it's very green, multiple places to relax within the hostel. All the staff is super helpful, the rooms were clean, and most of all there's a pool. It was wonderful!

The location is amazing, the staff are really nice. The garden is beautiful. It is like a little paradise. The rooms are old but still spacious and comfortable and it adds to the charm. Loved my outdoor shower!

Not enough bathrooms and showers - there's only one bathroom next to the dorm and it is used by other guests staying in private rooms as well. One toilet is located next to the pool.

Amazing hostel, we loooved the atmosphere and decoration! It's such a beautiful place and we really enjoyed relaxing at the poolside after exploring Barichara. Everything is clean and spacious. Great kitchen facilities. We stayed in the dorm and really liked it.
