What I liked the most about this Montreal hotel was its unbeatable location near a metro station. Being able to easily access public transportation made it incredibly convenient to explore the city's vibrant neighborhoods and attractions. The room was very big and clean and had two comfortable beds with amazing mattresses. Additionally, the kindness and hospitality of the staff truly made my stay memorable. Their attentiveness and genuine care for guests' comfort exceeded my expectations. It's rare to find such a perfect combination of location and service, and I'll definitely be returning on my next visit to Montreal.

We were warmly welcomed with tea into a very spacious entire ground floor of a 3 storey house. The kitchen was large well supplied with cutlery and a few treats left in the fridge for us to enjoy. This is a 5-acre property with most left in its natural state. Breakfast was exactly as we requested, which was most appreciated. They are situated very close to the ferry, which was handy as we didn't bring our car, Our hosts insisted on driving us back to the ferry and encouraged us to spend the last hour exploring the lovely campsite along the coast, close by. Across the road is the Gabriola Museum which is worth a visit.

Our room was large and comfortable. Having a refrigerator and microwave was convenient but we also enjoyed using the rooftop kitchen. The staff was more than friendly, immediately responsive to requests, and very helpful. We received excellent suggestions about activities and instructions for using public transportation. The location couldn't have been better!

Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park

It was convenient to Assiniboine Park where I was running a race so I could walk to the race start. The included breakfast was good, although we couldn't go the first morning we were there because of the early race start.

There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. A note said that there was one complimentary packet but there wasn't, and that more could be purchased at the desk. I didn't check to see what that would cost since there was a Tim Horton's about a 5 minute walk east of the hotel. No microwave, so if I picked up a coffee elsewhere I would have no way to reheat it. Seemed kind of cheap not to provide coffee packs. Our room fronted on Portage Ave but it was fairly soundproof - a bit noisy on Sunday evening when every motorcycle in town without a muffler and every 20 year old compact car with a 2000 watt stereo was cruising up and down Portage. The bottom sheet on the bed didn't seem to want to stay attached through a night of tossing and turning.

Property needs some maintenance. The beds were hard and the room was hot, so we needed to keep the AC on all the time, which is loud. Fortunately the room was fairly clean and didn’t smell bad.

Missing Body Wash (had 2 shampoos) Fan only stayed on only if you were moving directly under the fan. Should have a switch with timer. Room was a bit dark. need brighter lamp bulbs.

We checked in on a Tuesday had made arrangements for dinner out had planed to have meals at hotel on Wednesday to find out restaurant was closed and restaurant was closed the morning we checked out on Thursday restaurant was closed. Would have been nice to no at check in. We paid good money to stay at this place. To find out that they don’t make up the room each day would have been nice to no in advance so we could have booked somewhere else.
