Positive section of review
Nothing frivolous nor contrived about the place. It's a solid hostel for the price. It's nice that they have electronic entry, so I can get in the hostel at any time of the day without having to buzz in. The location is great. It gives you access to the town but also enough separation from the bars and noise. You also get an unobstructed view of the mountains from the patio. Alex and Asusena- the 2 personnel- are great.

Good attention from staff, great place and amazing view. Canopy experience is great, delicious food. Most of stuff is very kind. Rooms are very nice and the bird watching is amazing. A little bit far and the road is not in that great shape, better to visit in a 4x4 and not in motorcycle as we did as it can be a little bit scary.

Great place, a little bit noisy as they play music until late hours at night, if you are looking for a place to rest or meditate over the weekends, this may not be a place for you. They also got a lot of orphan dogs begging for food into their restaurants, that may be something unpleasant if you don't like having animals asking for food while you are eating.

The breakfast and location were amazing. I loved the daily breakfast options. The hotel was a perfect walking distance from everything I wanted to do and I felt completely safe at all times of day and night.

The hot water was broken the entire time I was there. It said there was a leak for the whole block, it wasn't the hotel's fault. However, it made my daily showers unenjoyable.

Two points. Firstly, before the trip started, we tried to contact the hotel multiple times (via booking.com messenger) to clarify regarding the availability of airport shuttle service and for a possible late checkin, however we did not get any response for days. later, we called the booking.com customer service (and they tried to call the hotel each time) two times. No response. Customer service was in fact helpless. This never happened to me before. After almost a week, the hotel replied and asked us to contact again via reservas@radissoncartagena.com. In the end, they did not provide shuttle service and the overall communication was terrible. We landed at 11pm at the airport. Even though the hotel claims to provide airport shuttle service, the facility was not available to us at that time and we had to rely on airport taxi. Secondly, the no free drinking water was available in the room. We paid approx 41000 pesos (approx 12 USD) for 3 small water bottles from the fridge when we checked out

The hotel is beautiful, and well decorated. The restaurant is good and so is their breakfast.

The hotel seems to be understaffed. You might try to reach the front desk by calling but they rarely pick up. TV did not work, when the front desk lady showed up to try and fix it she seemed overwhelmed, as she was dealing with everything in the hotel. The TV was never fixed, never explained why and never gave an update. The room was hot. We asked for a fan and they brought a fan with a remote that did not work. The fan was not good enough. The city is rationing the water supply, the hotel did not communicate this upon arrival. We found out when we tried to take a shower in the morning. Bed is not very comfortable. Staff seems permanently annoyed. Internet SUCKS! We had to constantly switch from one network to another and it was still bad. We couldn't even load Google Maps. Overall seems like a lot of things don't work properly and the hotel is more focused on looking cool rather than providing a good service. Do not recommend.
