Stay: April 25 to 26 2024. This hotel was a great finding as it is very centrally located in Bonn, in the between the Altstadt (where may restaurants for dinner are located) and the central area of the city (literally, walking distance). Main attractions are located there. You are given a key for your room and the front door so you can come and go at will. Breakfast was awesome and plentiful to carry on for the day, and the staff was kind and attentive. The hotel has an elevator which makes things easier for those with large luggage. The neighborhood might seem sketchy, but we felt very safe at all times, even at night. There is no parking available (we knew that...) but for your overnight and daily use, the 3 min away walk Stiftsgarage Bonn is the way to go. The garage is very affordable and safe.

Like in many hotels we visit, a night light in the bathroom was missing. Those are good to have in case the guests need for a bio-stop in the early hours of the morning when everything is still dark, and you wake up not really knowing where you are. Those lights would prevent the use of main lights throughout the night. An extra stand for a carry-on luggage would also help.

The was a higher class hotel and it was easy to see that there were a lot of facilities. The beds were OK and there was a small fridge available in the room. The rooms had enough space and there was a nice bathroom. The location of the hotel was perfect. Right in the centre of where it all happens. The breakfast was really good.

We had two rooms in a noisy part of the hotel. There was a lot of noise at 6.00h alreay and also late in the evening (23.30h) when the staff started to work or finished their jobs. This was realy a downside of our stay. I recommend other visitors to ask for a different room if one of the rooms between 110 and 134 is allocated to them. It would alreay help if some carpet was put on the floor. The airco also was not very good. The temperature would not go under 20 degrees. Opening a window was not an option due to the noice and the smell of the traffic.

Considering how close it is to the station, it is very quiet. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve ever seen. All staff members were so polite and helpful.

2 non refundable bookings were made because of a failure of the booking.com app and the hotel didn’t bother telling us until we checked out and then refused to remove the unused room charge.

Farther from attractions than described. Check inn took a very long time because of the tourist tax forms. Reserved a room with one queen bed and got 2 singles pushed together with separate sheets. (Not uncommon in Germany) but I don’t appreciate it.

not much was good sadly, the only positive thing was that the rooms were very quiet both from outside and from inside the hallway.

Arriving was already a struggle with a truck parked half in front of the parking door. When we checked in there was a lot of confusion about the reservation of our 4 rooms (done via booking.com). I had reserved already in Jan, we went there in May, and apparently the hotel had not correctly received all the info from booking.com. They had not received the cancellation of one room that I had done beginning of April. Also they had made all the rooms twin, while I had been in contact via msg on booking.com with them directly to make only 2 of the 4 rooms twin (which they had confirmed). One of the rooms was for single use, also here, they had no idea while it had been booked that way. The clerk was friendly enough but still condescending and said "it is not our fault" and "we have this in our computer" as if stating "then this must be the reservation", while I showed her the confirmation from booking.com in my emails which was reflecting exactly what I was saying. Then we went into the rooms and they were super hot. It was the first nice weekend of May so we thought it was the sun and we'll be OK with the airco. Turns out the airco in the WHOLE hotel was broken and only hot air came out. One of our party went to complain and they said nothing could be done and that it was best to just turn it off. (We were there 2 nights and it was not fixed yet when we left). There was something to hang on the door to skip cleaning, so I did that, but then I went in the shower in the morning and found yellow stains on one of the large towels, so I popped into the hallway where the cleaners were with their cart and asked for a new large towel. They refused as I had put out the "no-cleaning" card. The cart was loaded with clean towels so I asked again and said again that a towel was dirty, then finally they gave me a new towel. Also the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Room was not that clean. There was a huge stain on the carpet that you would've missed due to the low lighting. Wall by the TV had burgers smeared on it.
