The hotel as other describe it - is 'rustic' - which translates to a bit dated. but the atmosphere is homey welcoming and warm, and the location is breath-taking in its beauty. When we arrived the gentleman who received us not only checked us in but also provide the full complement of information relevant to those coming to visit the Caminito Del Rey. It's true the mattress did seem a bit dated and perhaps the showers remnants from the 20th century but it is an out-of-the-way small hotel catering to hikers - i do not think that such amenities are top of mind for people wanting to hike in the area. the restaurant in the hotel was so forthcoming - with one of us being a vegetarian they went out of their way to accommodate special requests. I strongly and resoundingly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Rural El Torrejon

This small rural hotel surpassed every expectation. It is situated in idealic surroundings complete with a view of sheep and a horse just behind the property. It was exceptionally clean, quiet at night, comfortable beds, did I mention the incredible views! Carmen was super helpful with any questions we had great suggestions for nearby easy hikes. I cannot say enough about this place.

I was walking on the Camino de Santiago the Francis route. After a large climb into Foncebadon we reached our Hostel. I was soooo happy. They views were spectacular. The staff was very gracious and attentive. The food was Amazing and the logo is the best on the Camino. By far my favorite hostel.

The location was nice. Great to be so close to the beach. The streets we active. So many things going on. Loved having the balcony on both sides of the apartment. The tub was so large as well. Plenty of hot water!

When booking I didn’t realize that it wasn’t on actual driving streets so it was hard to find at first. The WiFi was a struggle, didn’t work to often in the bedroom. That was disappointing. The coffee pod were either old or just bad. Also we were asked to take out the garage which was okay but had to walk it a lil ways a ways and that was rather hard because it had a whole in the bag.

Convenient to Metro, Ramblas, restaurants and stores. We easily walked back from La Sagrada Familia. Apartment was clean and quiet.
