Claudio and Antonella were such excellent hosts! They let us check in a little early and provided airport transfers. The room was so quaint and comfortable. We loved the garden sitting area and it was so peaceful. It was very convenient for an early morning flight and they provided coffee, tea, fruit and snacks in the room. We walked to the port and had excellent pizza at Sancho Pizza! We are staying again before our return to Boston. Highly recommend!

Simona was an incredible host. Perfection! She made us feel at home immediately! Warm and kind and very responsive. The place was clean and comfortable, and the location great. It was close to fabulous restaurants. Simona gave us a recommendation for dinner, and it was one of our best meals in Italy! I highly recommend!

The breakfast was amazing! Much more than a Continental. Pancakes, sautéed vegetables, bacon and eggs, pastries, fruit, just everything. Many options for coffee. The service staff was very friendly and efficient. Table settings were lovely.

The location was fantastic. Very close to the ferry and train station. Easily walkable into the main Varenna area.

This is an older home with a few issues. Pests being the primary one, we had an ant problem in our bedroom/bathroom the first 2 days as well as a couple of scorpions (harmless ones). I know this isn't always preventable but I think the owner could be more pro-active. The manager did drop off spray to help resolve the issue.
