The studio at Aloes Farm is a beautiful property. It is serene and safe, bucolic and pastoral. The interior decor is very well done and the beds were very comfortable. As beautiful as the property is, it was the hosts that made it such a special experience. They were communicative and kind and went above and beyond with their hospitality. We would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the Hilton or Pietermaritzburg area.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, especially for the price. The lift had a nice vintage aesthetic.

There were huge cockroaches, actually cockroaches of all sizes. The rooms are not the same and that compromises the quality of the stay.

The bedding was old and in rags. No mirror in the bedroom. No wardrobe and no hangers to hang clothes. No container/ place for a soap in the shower. No free plugs to use in the bedroom
