Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The building and apartment look clinical, white walls, no curtains, cushions, posters or anything of the kind. Building outside looks dull and industrial.
Place was spacious, very comfy beds, very welll equipped kitchen.

If you plan to work from the apartment, and your work includes includes videocalls, get your own data. The Wi-fi is not strong enough for that.
Karlín is a top-notch neighborhood with a lot to see (and taste!) and way less touristy compared to other areas. Ideal for a restful night of sleep after exploring the city. The apartment complex is close to the subway, as well as the tram. It is well-equipped for everything you could need on a week-long trip.

The apartment itself is quite used and might need a renovation. The shower head in the shower cabin was damaged The bedsheets and pillows had a bad smell

My internet connection could be a bit better.
I was really positively surprised with my room: it was spacious, clean, the bed was super comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare some simple meals. I know Prague, go there for work frequently, usually stay in Airbnb's but honestly, I could not be happier with Prague City Residence so if they keep their prices I will definitely be back. Also the location was great, 5min walk to the closest metro and tram station, 5min walk and you're right in the booming trendy Karlin district.

Location was pretty good , just a few mins walk to everything like Invalidovna & Urxova tram stations, Lidl, Billa and Albert (all under 10 mins walk )and have lovely park nearby to spend some quite lovely time.

Only tiny little thing is only getting one pillow
Location was amazing 10 min walk to the metro so easy to get around! Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly helpful!

It was too basic. A window at the living room, facing the street, did not have a curtain. I ended up not spending much time in the leaving room. The apartment is great, it does not need much to make it feel warmer. A curtain would be nice, little things like kitchen soap would be helpful.
Location was great. Close to public transportation. Safe. Staff was very helpful. Apartment was clean, comfortable and convenient. Very quiet. I liked it. Bed was pretty confortable.

The apartment was rather uncomfortable and a strange smell came from the empty area outside through the balcony door. The kitchen could have a small amount of detergent, a sponge and a broom and a hand towel.
The apartment was spacious and the bed was good, as was the bathroom.

Reception wouldn’t hold our bags on day of check out (10am) and our flight wasn’t until 9pm so we had to carry them round all day because there was no storage facility in the hotel

not once came cleaning while a month worth of stay (should be mandatory to have room cleaning after 5 days or so), lot of dust on the floor, sheets not changed once in a month receptionist not speaking czech and poorly english, very small trash cans, loud noises can be heard from other apartments
