The room was very warm and we left the window open all night as there was no air conditioning. There were steps in the hallway going to our room. There were only two, but when you're pulling a heavy suitcase, that makes the difference.

I liked the fact that both the Lindt Chocolate Museum and the Koln Dom were both within walking distance, although it was a mile one way to the Cathedral. The river was right there too so you could walk along the river.

Did not like having to book an extra room when the apartment we rented could have easily fit our whole family since we have young children that share beds anyway. Therefore, we had one whole room that was not even utilized and also it was in another part of the building, so not even close.

I liked that it had a good breakfast and pool.

I asked for a quiet room and was given one on the top floor facing the rear of the building, very quiet. Reception open 24 hours so no problem coming in late.

The only problem rooms were very small and double room's toilet and shower had glass doors. Also glass wall in shower meant, that neighbors could see us taking shower.

- No shampoo or conditioner - Tiny room: Shower and sink are located directly in the bedroom - No place to hang the wet towels - we booked because of pool, but it was cold, small and full of kids in the evening, so wasn't worth it in the end - some (but not all) reception stuff is unfriendly even for German standard

Overall, it was just okay. The only thing we really liked is the initiatives to be more environmentally friendly like option to opt out from daily cleaning, refills of soap, toilet paper from recycled paper.

I didn't find the reception lady very pleasant, the room was ready only after 15hrs, the swimming pool water was quite cold and the sauna would be switched on only upon request (no info provided about that in the reception and the sauna in the evening was cold, of course). The parking is available only upon additional payment, which got me by surprise.

Location is very close to chocolate museum and not far away from a city centre. That's all we needed that time.

No mini bar or complementary water in my room. Coffee machine but no milk or sugar. There is a vending type machine available at reception but when your thirsty and tired at night reception seems too far to walk.

Swimming pool and sauna. Quiet room. Comfy bed and well cleaned.

I stayed 2 nights with my 5 year old. Hotel had everything we needed. I think we may have been lucky to have a room with a standard layout (normal bathroom)! We used the pool once and it was great, it’s a consistent depth so no shallow end. No fridge but we just stored things out of the window - great solution in February. I’m not convinced the voucher for a drink vs room cleaning is worth it, mainly because we had to serve ourselves and open a bottle of beer with a spoon (!) but I appreciate the thought process. Price was right, location very good, and we will definitely return. Thank you!

The location is great- you can literally get to all landmarks on foot. The atmosphere and personal are outstanding, and swimming pool makes it even better.

obviously there is no restaurant and bar in the evening. you have to buy the drinks from the frigde which is not charming. I was unlucky since the heatin in my bathrooom did not work and this was unpleasant.

the hotel is in good location only three minutes from deutzer brücke and public transport. the location is quiet and the rooms are specious and clean. all you need for a business trip. staff is excellent and breakfast all fresh and very tidy and clean. lady in the morning quick and attentitive!
