Aside from the internet service, which was not accessible during my stay, I had no complaints - especially considering the convenient location & the decent room rate for Berlin.

Good location along the Spree with direct access to the Ostbahnhof platforms. Good for money overall.

Room was a bit cramped for two people - not a major problem on a city break as we were out most of the day anyway. Would have liked to have tea or coffee facilities in room.

Fantastic location - literally in the Ostbahnhof station so great for exploring Berlin, and a stone's throw from both Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg neighbourhoods. Staff very helpful. Room very clean. Hot and powerful shower, Comfortable mattresses. 12pm checkout very much appreciated too!

Due to being in the railway station, there can be too much noise coming from passerbys, during the nights. As the unit didnt have air conditioner, noise was really a problem when we had to open window.

The pillows should be replaced for better (normal) ones; the one's they have are of square shape and very soft..not very convenient for sleeping. Also the wifi is not the best and should be improved...

The hotel is located right at Ostbahnhof Station, so instant access to S-bahn and RE trains. Also there were alot of bakeries and food places inside the station, aswell as Rewe and Penny markets in the underground level. Only 500 meters from the start of East Side Gallery. The hotel also offers a card with unlimited transport within ABC zones for the duration of your stay, which includes u-bahn, s-bahn and buses (you have to register online as h-rewards member before you get this).

The shower drain was clogged, which was solved by the housekeeper in the same day I complained. Just a small issue, but took some of my time.

When we arrived at the hotel we tried to use the self check in machine to check in. Despite having pre-paid, the check in machine told us that I still owed 15 euros. The lady at the check in desk was having some trouble with the till, and was slamming the cashier’s drawer aggressively whilst swearing repeatedly under her breath. As I could see she was busy with something, I patiently waited for her to be finished with what she was doing. However she looked up at me and rudely told me that there were self check in desks for a reason and went back to what she was doing. As it turns out, I was correct and should not have been charged the 15 euros. The lady rectified this, but provided the worst service I have ever experienced whilst checking in to a hotel. I was genuinely shocked at how poorly a hotel guest could be treated at check in, the experience can only be described as hostile. Even though the hotel was great value for money, I would not consider giving money to this hotel again.

The location of the hotel was amazing and it was great value for money. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Despite being so close to the train station we couldn’t hear any noise from passing trains.

On 20 April 2024 during check-in at the Intercity Hotel at Ost Bahnhof, Berlin, the receptionist was very unfriendly. She did not behave properly and did not answer my questions politely...

I thought was exceptional value for money. Goog clean quiet room, great location by station, and close the Berghain etc. We usually stay at NHow, or Holiday Inn East Side, but this hotel was a more than adequate replacement at a lot less money

Would have been good if there had been air conditioning; temperature was OK during my stay but if it had been during the summer or unseasonably hot, it could have been an issue. I also had issues with the wifi connection speed and stability - it kept dropping out on my laptop, meaning that I was unable to do some work stuff that I had hoped to do whilst I was away from home. My room had a view of an internal "courtyard", so nothing interesting to see.

Spacious, clean room and bathroom. Fridge in main room which was very useful as breakfast was not included so I could buy my own food and keep it in the room; due to the excellent location there were 2 supermarkets within the Station complex and several places to get warm food too. Opening window; seems that there was no aircon but the room was warm enough and there was a pedestal fan (that I did not have to use).

Bar and restaurant were closed and there were no tea and coffee making facilities in our room despite the booking.com listing stating there were. Apparently these required an upgrade !
