Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Not much to say really , but one thing I personally didn’t like the pillows to hard .
Fantastic location for the main strip 10 min walk or towards old town 10 min walk . Bars and restaurants within a 2 min walk . Beach 5 mins . Every room is a great size , pool and outside area is an amazing chill area . Perfect for our stag groups .

One night from fourteen, the music from a nearby bar was far too loud until 0400hrs. That was one night only. Nothing the accommodation could do about this though...
The host "Manuela" could not have been more helpful. Great location. Very clean. Safe. Will stay again.

Location and facilities were amazing. The perfect apartment for our stay which was in the best position we could have wished for. Manuela who is the lady who runs the apartments was incredibly helpful and kind. Totally recommend these apartments for a fab holiday.

Thanks to Manuella, our flight was delayed and it forced out check in time to early hours of the morning. But she made sure someone was there to let us in. Great location of the property a 10 min walk from the strip and 5 min walk to the beach. Was very clean and has its own little pool, would recommend!

Nothing not to like.
The appartment was spotlessly clean, 2 x bedrooms, 2 x bathrooms, nice wrap around balcony, kitchen, laundry room, powerful shower, air conditioning, it was fabulous.

Location is excellent, close enough to walk too the beach but away from any bar/club noise. Parking facility is within the building.

the property was in a central location close to bars and restaurants, also a short walk to the beach, the property was excellent and had every thing that you would need including toiletries, towels, bedding. would 100% stay here again.

We booked due to the location and just for a base, but was pleasantly surprised by how good the room was. Absolutely everything you could need. The lady running the property was really helpful nice and funny.

The location was near to 5he beach, however the noise from bars and restaurants, goes on till the early hrs of the morning, it's OK if your staying out till then

Loved the location and facilities. Manuela was on site to meet us. She is a fantastic hostess and gave us helpful suggestions about the city and what things to do. The apartment was clean and beautiful. Breakfast on the veranda was wonderful and the laundry area was a bonus. Hot water and modern bathrooms are always a good thing!

Really lovely and spacious apartments. Beautiful and clean. Booked 2 as we were a group of 8, and both apartments were lovely. Also, it was a great central location, so you had the best of old town and Levante.

there really wasn’t anything, maybe a sea view but then you would pay a lot more for that
Was central for everything, 5 min walk to Old Town, 5 min to New and 5 mins to beach. Had everything you needed.

I couldn't find anything I didn't like about the apartments.
Owner kept in contact prior to arrival. Lovely and clean apartments and communal areas. Perfect location!! Couple of minutes walk to local bars, restaurants, New Town and beach, about 15 to 20 minute walk into Old town. Apartment had all facilities needed for a long/short stay (we were there for 4 nights) but if you were staying longer you have everything you need to cook etc and even a washing machine. Huge balcony can be accessed from 1 of the bedrooms and living area, ensuite and separate bathroom, 2nd bedroom is smaller but has twin beds and ample wardrobe space. We never used the pool area as beach was close enough.
